I use this lens for almost every single photoshoot. I dont like using it inside though because you have to be very far away from your subject. But outside, it is wonderful!!

I enjoy its ease of use and it’s amazing low light performance. This will be right up there with my top Sony lenses. I enjoy the quality I always get at Best Buy.

I gave it 4 stars as my one complaint has to do with the constant hunting when autofocus is turned on. Otherwise this lens would be perfect. Sharp and very fast.

Great quality but loud

Great lens for Full Frame and APS-C

At $250 a f/1.8 is quite a steal. But autofocus is slow and noisy. I could live with that though. But the first photo I took was of my cat laying about in the sun. Her whiskers on one side was fringed pink and fringed green on the other. I returned this lens -- partly because of the photo quality and partly because I realized I really wanted a nice zoom instead of a prime. The 24 - 105mm f/4 I got instead is almost 6 times the price but I'm going to use it and enjoy it much more. But for $250, the 50mm/f1.8 a decent lens for cheap. Note that I used this lens on a Sony A7 M3.

Making portraits great again

This lens has made it much easier for me to get a high quality portrait with crisp edges and excellent focus.
