    Is this the best sony prime lens you can get? No. Is this the best sony prime lens for the cost? Absolutely, I use this lens on the daily for product photography and it works like a charm. Its not as sharp as the zeiss or G lens but those are ten times the cost so for the price this is a great starter lens to get more into portrait photography

    Most convenient lens to carry around. This is aptly named the “nifty fifty.” The form factor is great, most lenses are huge and this one is pretty proportional to the A7iii. It takes crisp photos and has the aperture I need. Get yours already.

    the focus motor of this lens is slow and noisy but clarity is good, material is good too

    I've been doing photography on the side for over 3 years now, and I must say that every camera user should have a versatile prime lens; this one is it. It takes beautiful, sharp photos. It also gives you great bokeh for those awesome shallow depth of field shots. I can recommend this lens to any Sony E-mount user!
