Like most other reviews, this lens is good for the price (on sale price). The focus speed is not quite there, it's loud, and it won't produce G Master quality images. However, it would be hard to find such full-frame fast lens at this price point.

Great lens but keep in mind that you do have to stand very far from the object you’re shooting. Gives a blurry / dreamy background and takes super great, high quality photos!

This product is incredible. I bought this product because I would want to have a small and lightweight lens to go around without needing much effort. I didn't expect that this product would be so sharp and compact at the same time. Definitely, it one of "you must have" product. Also, it is perfect for food and product photography. If you are starting, you will love this product. The only con is that you don't have the button to fix the focus and sometimes you have to wait until the camera can decide what focus is better, sometimes you have to change to manual focus, which is another problem because you don't have the switch button to turn it on and off, you have to go to your camera's menu to do it. But for the price and the quality of its photos, I am sure it is a big deal.

It's true what they say about this lens slow autofocus. Especially when I'm in a dimmer and darker setting, it tends to struggle a bit. Even so, I still enjoy using this lens. It's depth of field is nice at 1.8 and it's great for portraits. For the price too, I guess it's not bad.

Good lens, image quality is really goog. For videos where subjects move a lot I will not recomend because of poor speed when focusing For none moving objects photography I like it and will recomend

A classic lens that every photographer needs. The bokeh is beautiful and the images are sharp. It’s a reliable and affordable prime lens for stunning portraits.

This is a very good lens. I enjoy its ease of use and it’s amazing low light performance. This will be right up there with my top Sony lenses. I enjoy the quality I always get at Best Buy.

This lens is so cheap considering how good it is. Nifty Fifty is a must! It’s also very lightweight which helps with gimbals for video.

This lens is starting to grow on me, but the motorized focus adjuster goes in and out and in and out every time that I want to take a picture and it doesn't always capture it on the first try. BUT, if you change your setting to Auto, the camera and the lens work very well capture crisp images. I don't usually use auto, but I will with this lens for the time being. I do use it with manuel focus and I have no problems with the motorized focus. The lens hood is great for covering the lens, which pops out when focusing, so that you will not get any dust or moisture, since the lens is not weatherproofed. It's light. Made of durable plastic, but it does have the metal with the electronics when you mount it to your camera. It feels good. Other than that, I am starting to like it. I have the Sony a7s II. Also, with video, the lens focuses a tad bit too slow, but, I'll need to work around that too. So car, I can just use manuel focus. The lens is sharp, though. Nice colors out of it.

I was looking for a small prime lens. At $250 a f/1.8 is quite a steal. But autofocus is slow and noisy. I could live with that though. But the first photo I took was of my cat laying about in the sun. Her whiskers on one side was fringed pink and fringed green on the other. I returned this lens -- partly because of the photo quality and partly because I realized I really wanted a nice zoom instead of a prime. The 24 - 105mm f/4 I got instead is almost 6 times the price but I'm going to use it and enjoy it much more. But for $250, the 50mm/f1.8 a decent lens for cheap. Note that I used this lens on a Sony A7 M3.

The perfect nifty fifty lens. Gets the job done for what I need. Can be slow and loud sometimes but otherwise does what I need it to do.

I really liked this lens. Color, sharpness and price point. For beginners in 50 mm focus length this is best lens to start with.

For the price, it cannot get better than this. Great lens, It has its minor issues, autofocusing time and is very noisy. However for the price a must have lens. Takes great pictures.

The focal length and price were incredible but the stepping motor who focusing was so loud it was questionable. I would avoid it for any video due to the motor.

So I bought this lens with an APS-C camera and nobody told me it that it was really supposed to go with this. This lens will get you some really beautiful shots, especially for the price. but if you really want a great Shots, save a little more and get the sigma 56mm.

Decent lens at a good price point. It’s takes good pictures for the value definitely doesn’t hurt to add this to your collection of glass
