    Haven't had the issues with autofocus I've seen a lot of complaints about but I guess the newest firmware was supposed to take care of that. Its a solid lens if you're looking for a sharp fast 50mm lens thats native to your Sony body. Subjectively I still prefer the Canon version but it's really splitting hairs. Its a nice walk around lens thats high quality and compact.

    For the price and quality its not bad. I just got into photography and this is an awesome lens to capture pics quickly but when filming, lens makes a small sound to focus. you can not zoom it remember that, if you have megapixels on your camera, cool, just zoom in during post.

    Great lens to start with photography. Great for portraits! This lens doesn't zoom in or out, but at the right focus and angle you'll get stunning photos!! Definitely a good deal for a cheap price!

    I purchased this lens to take a variety of photography and video. I can’t express how happy I am. The lens quality is outstanding for the price. The bokeh is great and you have all the way down to f 1.8. It shoots very well light

    Having owned both a zeiss loxia 50 and the sony 55mm for the same camera, I can say that for the price this is an excellent lens. Wide open it's pretty sharp. And at around 5.6 it is 90% as good as thos costing 4 times more. Focusing is a bit noisier and slower but nothing terrible. Again you have to take into account the low price nature of the lens. If you are on a budget, this lens will not disappoint.

    Good lens for a human eye visual. This lens gets you really sharp photos would highly recommend for novice photographers or if you shoot a lot of portraits.
