    My wife and I both shoot the occasional portraits for family and friends. Nice sharp lens and nice out of focus areas when you want that soft bokeh background. I use it mainly for nature photography. All in all a great lens for the price.

    This lens provides sharp images but has a couple of drawbacks. The auto focus is slow and the motor inside is loud. It still works well for me as my main focus is landscape and automotive photography. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are trying to shoot subjects in motion or using it for video.

    I really liked this lens. Color, sharpness and price point. For beginners in 50 mm focus length this is best lens to start with.

    What an amazing lens. I went for this instead of the Sony, honestly I was worried about the quality don't however after using this lens for one day was completely blow away. Go for it, it won't disappoint

    This is a good starting option. If you are a professional then you will see some limitations like focus speed, but for a beginner this is more than enough. Incredible photos.

    This is a very good lens. I enjoy its ease of use and it’s amazing low light performance. This will be right up there with my top Sony lenses. I enjoy the quality I always get at Best Buy.

    Love this lens! perfect for portraits. I use this lens for almost every single photoshoot. I dont like using it inside though because you have to be very far away from your subject. But outside, it is wonderful!!

    If you use this lens for astrophotography you will notice quite a bit of vignetting in full frame mode(A7RII), even with the lens corrections enabled. I prefer shooting the night sky in crop mode. Still a very sharp lens for the cost. Even works great for video at night.
