That being said, it still serves its purpose and produces decent images.

I think it's great for beginners learning about lighting and composition. The f/1.8 is unbeatable. Highly recommend if you're starting out!

Idk if the images are so good because of the camera or the lens or both. The lens is super super loud when it sit focuses. The lens is zoomed in and not very helpful for most every day situations.

Best 50mm for the Price

No. Is the AF a little loud? Yes. However, the point is that this is a great little 50mm for an incredible price. If the AF noise/speed is a sticking point for you - just use MF and you'll be happy with the sharpness and image quality
