    I have been using my kit lenses for the last year and they have worked well, but I have never been able to get a good portrait based on the higher aperture. This lens has made it much easier for me to get a high quality portrait with crisp edges and excellent focus.

    for a 50mm it's good, Not sure what I was thinking when I bought this I don't use it much 50mm I find gives nice photos but just not in my wheel house.

    When it comes to prime lens this is at the top of my list. I’m a newbie so I can’t say I know much but what I can say is I am take terrific shots with this lens.

    I shoot professionally and needed a cheap prime lens for a shoot. Focus is a little slower compared to higher quality Sony lenses, but for portraiture work fast focus isnt quite as critical as an event. Bought on sale and happy with it for a cheap lens.

    Really amazing extra lens to throw in the bag, the bokeh out preforms several thousand dollar lenses due to single zoom. Great starter lens or a nice second lens

    Great lense. For the price it's hard to pass this up it's super sharp and great quality but the autofocus on it is slow so just give it time when using autofocus

    Nifty fifty never can go wrong with this lens. Sharp images aperture creates great boka. This lens is a must in your bag of lens, no matter the brand.

    So I bought this lens with an APS-C camera and nobody told me it that it was really supposed to go with this. This lens will get you some really beautiful shots, especially for the price. but if you really want a great Shots, save a little more and get the sigma 56mm.
