I will be changing it out soon though because it is fairly slow in terms of focusing. It also is a bit noisy, which is distracting to me. Its worth it for beginners or those who aren't ready to pull the trigger on the pricier 50mm f/1.4

Great Lens

I took a bunch of photos with it and although a great lens, its not wide enough for what I do. The few "portrait" photos I did came out great. Crisp detail, beautiful color, but not what I needed. If you are shooting portrait, this might be for you. Best thing is to bring camera to store, see if they will allow you to take a few photos.

Well it is purchased this for a little throw around 50mm until I get the ZEISS 1.4... however, this lens is pretty sweet on the A7iii reviews said AF was terrible but that was the Aii. Autofocus is fast enough to get what you want in frame at 1.8 in time. Pictures are decently vibrant and sharp no complaints. Great lens for the price... you won’t be disappointed

The AF speed appears not as fast, so I'd rather not used it for the objects in motion. Using it with my Sony A7RII and (rarely) with Sony a6000

It turns out, I didn't settle so much after all. I love how easy this lens is to use as I am no professional. It is small and compact and fits well considering I have the small Sony a5100. I recommend this lens for those who don't want to spend to much due to lack of experience; but, it is a great investment.
