    I strongly recommend any beginning photographer have this lens in their bag. For the money, you get a 1.8 lens that's great for portraits and fantastic with low light situations. Sure, there are better ones, but they cost 2-3x as much. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this little guy!

    Wanted a fifty to break in my new a7 iii with, not quite ready to layout $1,900 for the 1/4… so far so good. Crisp images, decent bokeh. Good street lense, good value for the price.

    I've been doing photography on the side for over 3 years now, and I must say that every camera user should have a versatile prime lens; this one is it. It takes beautiful, sharp photos. It also gives you great bokeh for those awesome shallow depth of field shots. I can recommend this lens to any Sony E-mount user!
