This little lens is a must have. Used for portrait photography and gives you way more than its worth.

This is an amazing lense. I'm new in photography but I have to say you cannot go wrong with this one. Worth the price, was a bit slow to focus but I updated the software and now it works a tab bit faster.

This is still the most purchased lens to get a minimum f-stop that is great for static photos of objects that are relatively close.

Great portrait lens. The AF system is slow and loud, but the lens is inexpensive and gives a great photo.

Good build quality and the focus ring functions really well. My one gripe is a personal preference thing. I just wish it was a little bulkier for my hands, but I have no real complaints.

The f1.8 aperture is great for the blurred background effect used in portrait photography and also looks amazing in videos as well.

This is my first Sony lens. I came from Canon. Compared to the EF 50 F1.8 STM, the Sony FE 50 F1.8 is slower to focus and double the price. But the image quality is good.

It will take a while to experiment with all the features and realize them in printed photos...looking forward to purchasing more accessories

Great all around lens with a pretty nice build quality. This lens is a great weight and has way better native lens capability than using a 50mm 1.8 canon stm. Definitely worth the money.

Purchased this as a "base" lens for my new mirrorless camera. Works great and allows me to take pictures rather close up.

Works great on all new Sony mirrorless. Crop and Full Frame. Works really well with new Eye AF on my Sony A7 III.

Nice little "nifty fifty" lens for my A6300 body. It's sharp and has a nice and big f/1.8 aperture for creative shooting.

A very good portrait lens. Pictures are sharp Focus is slow but accurate. Bokeh is creamy and soft Well built. A little pricey compared to the Canon and Nikon alternatives

Cons- 1. Makes a lot of gear noise. 2. Does not focus smoothly. 3. Very expensive, and not worth it. It behaves more like the Canon's low end 50mm for $125; the nifty fifty, as it is called. Pros- 1. It is compatible with the Sony camera, and retains all its features like eye detection and auto focus, etc. Not really a plus point, since for that price it better be!!!
