I have the 24-70 F/4 lens which I feel is an average lens thar doesn't produce the clarity and sharpness I get from the 16-35 F/4, which has been my primary lens for my Sony A7R II. When the GM 24-70 came out, I hesitated because of the price, but the reviews were so stellar that I decided to make the investment. The reviews didn't prepare me for how INSANE this lens is! I am BLOWN AWAY by how sharp and clear it is, my RAW images look like JPEGS! There is so much DETAIL and CLARITY that I feel like I'm looking directly at the scene, and not at a photo! My post-processing is MINIMAL now, everything is stunning, there is no noise or grain.... I can't even describe it, you just have to see for yourself. You will not be disappointed with the GM lens. What a DREAM! It is a bit bigger than the Zeiss lenses, but no bigger than standard Canon/Nikon lenses. Even if it was the size of a telephoto, I'd wear a freaking wrist brace to hold it up, just to get the quality in this glass! This is a MUST buy for those seeking reduced post-processing time and unsurpassed clarity - sell all your old gear if you have to, this lens is so worth it! I'm waiting for the GM 16-35 next, then my life will be complete!!

This Lense has been the best versatile lense I own.. It's helped me get both wide and zoom shots. It's a good compromise for both worlds. Pairing this with my fx30 has been great. It's very helpful for situations where you need to be flexible, and prime lenses just don't offer what this does. I do recommend it!

When the lens came out, it was sold out everywhere. Best buy was the only place that can ship it to me in a matter of a couple days. The lens is so sharp and versatile for everyday use. This will be Sony's best Zoom lens yet.

This lens is very very sharp and works great with the A7IV. It's fast to focus. The only issue is that it is big.

Awsome lense forsure if new to the sony side of things great all around lense for you might be a little pn the hevier side but awsome lense

This lens is smooth... quite... sharp... fast... and super sensitive to light. It captures beautiful colors, in a natural way. I used so far all canon lenses... just now started to use a PXW FS5 and for the first time spent the money to get a SONY lens just for this camera... Amazing...

This lens is always in my bag and although a bit expensive, you wont regret picking this lens up. If you want a versatile lens, look no further.
