The best versatile zoom lens out there! I’m a California Wedding and Lifestyle photographer, I used this lens 100% ever since I bought it and has really helped me not miss any type of shots! Couple, candid, details, landscape, and silhouette. I love the built and quality of the lens. It never leaves my side….

While it's a very heavy lens for its aperture range and and speed, its quality of image coupled with its camera's [Sony A7R2] stabilization showed impressive detail even in night photography without a tripod. Night lights in indoor shots were equally consistent with its outdoor performance...For those who can afford it, this lens is a "keeper". JBGOOD

The 24-70 mm lens is the perfect lens for me when I go out to shoot music videos because it has everything I need. The F2.8 is beautiful and really captures that nice bokeh when zoomed. It's a all in one lens. The best package one could ask for. I could talk about the build quality all day too. This lens just feels really professional. 10/10

I've been a photographer for 4 years now and i needed an upgrade. So i bought the Sony A7RIII (I used to use Canon). So i needed a premium Lens to go with the camera, that's when i found the 24-70 Gmaster lens. This lens is sharp, it takes advantage of the 42MP inside the A7RIII, the focus is fast. Overall, I am happy with this lens. A 24-70mm is so versatile, great for landscapes, indoor, and portraits.

I bought this lens fir my Sony A7riii. I am switching over from Nikon because I like the Sony camera better. Since I used the Nikon 24-70 the most on my D810 I decided this would be the lens to get first. So far it is a great lens. It is a little heavy but the picture quality makes carrying the extra weight worth it. I have not had any problems with this lens. It just takes great pictures.

This lens is great open wide at 24 mm And even more versatile at 70 mm. Paired with my Sony a7iii and the clear image zoom option I find myself never having to change lenses while traveling or while using it for work! The only con I can think of for this lens is the weight, but the picture quality makes up for this immediately

This lens is SO worth it. It's primed but still has some zoom range, making it a staple in my set up.

It's a quite heavy lens especially when compared to the Zeiss F4 version. I have both now for over couple of months and I almost stopped using the F4 version as the quality of pictures from this lens are ridiculously sharp. I'd say as good as FE 55 mm prime and takes great pictures in low light as well. Only con is the weight which is not comfortable if the trip involves lot of hiking around.

overall I LOVE this lens!! I prefer a lens that can zoom and this is a high quality option for that that I think rivals a prime for sure. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that in low light settings I have to worry about banding a lot more than I ever have with any other lens before, including when I shot on Canon in the past and also used a 24-70 2.8.

This is a pricey piece of glass. I wanted to treat myself to one G Master lens for my a7rii, and the 24-70 is kind of my every day lens. It produces tack sharp images with a nice smooth bokeh. If you're going to go with one G master lens, I would suggest the 24-70. The 24-70 f/4 lens is kind of weak, while the f/4 versions of the 16-35 and 70-200 are still very good lenses.

I have been using my Sony A7II since it was launched with the Zeiss 16-35 and the Zeiss 55 MM FE lenses. After reading all the reviews, as well has having several landscape photo sessions where I required more reach and more convenience, i traded both in for the 24-70 GM Lens. Other than a bit heavy, the sharpness, color rendition and versatility met my expectations.

I love this lens! It’s slightly heavier than other competing lenses in the market but the beauty of the results explains it all. This is haha the best lens in its category and it’s worth every penny

This lens is the best in its class. I use this lens on my Sony A7iii and I get the sharpest and fastest focus of all my lenses. While the lens is bigger than all my others it delivers quality the others cant. I would highly recommend this as a event lens.

This is hands down the best everyday shooting lens out there for any A7. Don't waste your money on a regular G lens, go straight to a GM lens for full frame photography (not all G lenses are full frame). They are all pretty expensive, just save and buy this. It is well worth the money. I am shooting this on a 7rII and it takes superb pictures in all different kinds of lighting. If you are a novice like me, you will need to really dig in and learn your camera to unleash what this lens is capable of. Learn how to shoot Manual. It takes patience, but once you get decently good at adjusting the f stop, shutter speed and white balance on the fly, you are on your way. I downloaded the Sony app onto my iPhone and it has a trigger for shooting long exposures with this lens using a tripod. AMAZING pics. I delved into shooting astrophotography and this lens is a workhorse!!!!

This lens has great build quality. I've been shooting pro Nikon for years and am looking to lighten my load so I chose Sony mirrorless system. So far I have been very happy with the quality of the lens and the images. It is very sharp and quick focus. Excited to purchase more lenses in the future!

Love this lens! I originally had the Canon 24-70 2.8 v2 using a metabones adapter on my sony a7rii. Great lens but it had some issues. I ended up in my local BestBuy a couple weeks after purchasing the canon and they had in stock this Sony 24-70 gmaster. I tried it out in store and fell in love with it. It's smply amazing. About the same size/weight as the canon with metabones (maybe a touch smaller actually). This lens is super fast in both photo and video mode. Photography is crisp and clean, video has a lovely af movement too. Yes, its an expensive lens!! But by the time you get the canon with metabones adapter, you're evening out the price. This lens is made for the sony cameras, and rightfully so. Highly recommended.

I love this lens. A bit heavy but it’s really a good travel lens. The picture colors are crisps. Hope it will give me a good result for my travel photography.

Like you would expect from Sony their 24-70 f2.8 G Master lens boasts a solid feeling build paired with incredible sharpness worth its price point. Though more expensive than its canon or Nikon counterparts it's well worth it considering the array of Sony bodies available to couple it with.

This lens is build solid. Quite heavy also. A good choice lens if I just want to grab one lens to shoot with. A good walking around lens and probably the most recommended lens for wedding photographers, that would be the 24-70 mm focal length lens. Only downside is the price but you get what you pay for.
