It is one of my favorite lenses now. Great quality with its zoom range. I was in love with prime lens shooting but this made me ditch it! This lens competes with the Canon L lenses. It's fast, clear and crisp, and even has the auto/manual focus switch on the side which makes things easier since we all know how crazy Sony's menu systems are

AMAZING lens. Cinema color grading comes out lush and deep. Condition was not really as expected. The condition was listed as excellent but there was obvious use. The discount was still substantial but not sure if it was worth not getting a new one.

This is a must have for the A7RII users. Great build quality, fast focus, excellent image quality.

Upgraded from the Sony 24-70 4.0. The sharpness and bokeh is a lot better. Very heavy lens though.

This lens is everything you expected it to be. For the price, it's well worth it. I owned a 25mm, 35mm, and 55mm lens (all zeiss) and this lens easily replaced my primes. It's that good. I don't regret giving up 3lens for this one. I'm really happy with my purchase

This is an advanced lens with amazing build quality and optically fantastic.

This lens is incredibly sharp and autofocus is very quick. The is a very versatile lens and I use it for everything. It's great for wide shots at 24mm 2.8 such as astro photos and at 35-70mm great for portraits. I mostly shoot portraits in college such as graduation photos and each shot is sharp and quick.

It's a great lens. Wide open, the bokeh is excellent. Little on the pricey side but....

This is my go to lens! Great for every type of shot. A little heavy but worth it.

This is one of Sony's best lenses and based on reviews it is one of the best lenses on the market for an 85mm prime lens. This takes great portrait photos....super sharp, clear, and crisp. And a super fast lens. BUT I couldn't give it 5 stars because when I bought it the firmware was really buggy and it had a hard time autofocussing and was really loud. As in the AF motor is super loud and was just constantly searching for the subject. I spent an hour on the phone with Sony trying to troubleshoot it. They couldn't fix it and said I could send it in for repair. It was a brand new lens so I didn't want a "repaired" lens. I read online that other people had the same issue and they fixed it by updating the firmware. This did not help me so I went ahead and exchanged it for a new one. The new one did not have the same issues so now I am happy. And it takes fantastic pics.

I am a beginning photographer and this lens has been instrumental to my learning. It is so clear and crisp. I am loving the range and versatility.

Great lens with very smooth autofocus. this is one of those “should have” lenses in you kit. I could shoot a whole wedding with just this lens. Downside is the price.

Spectacular lens! Going from a kit lens to a G class lens is night and day. Its amazing what the lens captures and how it performs. Even on my old aspc sensor the photos are excellent!

Superb lens, great results. Amazing range of focal length supporting all types of photography. F2.8 results in amazing night photography too.

If you buy this you probably already know what you're getting. It's very heavy, as expected. Coupled with my A7riii I'll probably look for a new carrying option other than a basic neck strap. It locks in place at 24mm. The autofocus and focus lock are amazing. Just buy it.
