So the build quality on this lens is good. It is sharp and feels good. The one unfortunate thing that made me give it only 3 stars is it the poor construction design. Unlike a true professional lens, this lens has the end of the lens that protrudes out as you zoom similar to a cheap kit lens. This is most unfortunate that you spend this much money and Sony can't take the time to do a decent construction design. Hoping they will get their act together by the time they release the next version of this lens. Based on this (and given the cost) I cannot recommend this lens.

Probably the most iconic lens for pros. Great quality, good aperture, decent zoom, and that little button on the side you can customize to anything, (a different way to back-button autofocus, etc). Gonna be in my camera arsenal for a long time.

Very sharp and not very heavy. Worth the price point

The Sony FE 24-70 f/2.8 GM lens is a really useful lens. I use it primarily for flowers and insects . It provides high resolution shots combined with my Sony Alpha 7 iii camera. I don’t do a lot of portrait work but this lens should also do well in this application.

Sharp, especially for a zoom. Not cheap, but resolves great on the higher resolution cameras such as the A7RIV. AF is quick and snappy in good light, but can be a touch slow in low light, but that can be said about the majority of lenses

Its sharp and clear makes all your photos great. Used it with my new Alpha 7r iv. I loved how my photos came out and would highly recomend using this king of lens.

I’m a photographer and this g-master lens is amazing!! Great 2.8 aperture , great 24-70mm lens period in the market hands down !!!

Loved the lens! Great video and photos but it was the size and weight that I didn’t like. Sharp images with constant 2.8 is what you would expect from Sony and their G master glass. I ultimately returned and got the Sony G 24-105 F4. I plan to save & get the GM 24-70 Mark II

I'm still new to Sony e-mount. The lens is good. I'm not sure its 2000 plus dollars good. Its not weather proof. Only weather resistant. Has some barrel distortion. But overall seems sharp.

I just received this lens and took it for a walk. Paired with my a7rii the IQ is pretty mind blowing. The color rendering and sharpness are fantastic. Auto-focus is quick. I programmed the focus hold button on the lens to trigger eye-autofocus and it works like a charm. I can't see this lens coming off of my camera anytime soon.

Lens don't guarantee you to get pro level shots but if you can handle the price and are looking for pro level emount lens with short to medium range focal ability, pro build and can maximizes your camera sensor then getting this lens is a absolutely solid purchase. Lower priced options are available but you get what you pay for.

Love this lens and the quality of the pictures. I took photography as a hobby and upgraded to a Sony full frame a7rii from a Sony a6000. This lens is compatible with both camera e-mount and the pictures are professional quality. Amazing bokeh and completely satisfied with this product.

What more can I say I'm a Sony G-Master Fan Boy and let me tell you this Lens will deliver, I have this lens paired with my Sony A7 IV

Love this lens! I originally had the Canon 24-70 2.8 v2 using a metabones adapter on my sony a7rii. Great lens but it had some issues. I ended up in my local BestBuy a couple weeks after purchasing the canon and they had in stock this Sony 24-70 gmaster. I tried it out in store and fell in love with it. It's smply amazing. About the same size/weight as the canon with metabones (maybe a touch smaller actually). This lens is super fast in both photo and video mode. Photography is crisp and clean, video has a lovely af movement too. Yes, its an expensive lens!! But by the time you get the canon with metabones adapter, you're evening out the price. This lens is made for the sony cameras, and rightfully so. Highly recommended.

Beautiful lens that works very well with my Sony a7r IV. Together they take amazing photos. If I had to name one con, I would say that because it’s meant for a full frame camera and it’s good glass, it’s gather big and heavy.

Wow. Just wow. I original had a Sony A33 and upgraded to the Sony a7rII and purchased the lens! The G-Master is the way to go. I can shoot portraits of my kids plus shoot soccer games 7v7 and 9v9 all the way across the field with perfect clarity

My favorite lense thus far really does its job and more!

Sony has always been behind in the lens department but with the GM line everything changes. This lens is amazing. I use it on almost every shoot. It's extremely sharp and the quality is second to none. It is large but that's what you should expect from a fixed 2.8 aperture. I highly recommend this lens.

Lens is great to have! A bit heavy but you get use to it. Buy a lanyard for camera. It's a great universal lens for portraits and most landscape shots! This is a must have.
