Still new to it, but excited to continue shooting.

A bit disappointed but that’s the risk you take on buying open box but I’m just gonna buy the new version of this lens. Love Sony lens!

Terrible lens

I sold my Tamron 28-75 G2 to purchase this lens and ended up taking it back. Terrible lens flare and vignette when shooting in the sun. I never had that problem with Tamron. I shoot tons of sunsets and have never had a problem until using that GM. It should be a crime to sell a lens for 1500 that doesn’t even perform properly.

We do appreciate your honest feedback as it will help us to keep improving future products. The diameter on the Sony 24-70GM is larger than the Tamron 28-75mm. By having a larger diameter it results in a brighter image and better resolution, which can be especially useful for observing faint objects or capturing detailed images. But with larger diameter, when pointed shooting in the sun, it can catch more light which results in higher possibilities of lens flare.
