This lens is all you need for amazing videos. The clarity is unmatched and the bill quality is superb. I use it for my Sony A7Siii and the two were made to be together. I must have if you’re trying to do professional work. This is definitely a industry standard.

Got this as a second lens for my Sony A7R III. It clearly isn't a cheap lens by any means but once I had my hands on it in store you can feel and see the quality of it. I had pretty much decided on the Sony 24-105 f4 but wanted to try out this and ended up deciding to get this and haven't regretted it. Pros: -extremely sharp -fast lens and good for low light situations -high quality Cons -expensive -heavy and longer than many similar zoom lens

This is the be all end all of lenses. This will be on my A7III 90% of the time. It's extremely sharp, build quality is top notch and it's the perfect zoom length for most situations. Yes it is pricier than the Canon/Nikon equivalents, but it does not disappoint. The low-light performance is fantastic, and works incredibly well with Sony's EYE-AF. Only wish I had purchased it sooner! EVERY Sony Shooter should have this in their kit.

the title says it all, the glass in this camera produces phenomenal results. So much that I took two test photos, one without a UV filter and another with one on (Hoya) and the UV filter actually degraded some of its sharpness!! This is probably going down as one of my best lenses ever owning! Keep in mind, this lens is pretty heavy for it size. I assume its due to it being built like a tank!

The lens might be a bit pricey for the hobby shooter, but it's an excellent lens for any shooter whether for video or stills. The lens is solidly built. Photos are sharp and auto-focus, if applied is fast with any of the A7 series cameras or A9 series. Cmpared with the Tamron or Sigma, which are both excellent lenses, I'd still prefer this.

It's a quite heavy lens especially when compared to the Zeiss F4 version. I have both now for over couple of months and I almost stopped using the F4 version as the quality of pictures from this lens are ridiculously sharp. I'd say as good as FE 55 mm prime and takes great pictures in low light as well. Only con is the weight which is not comfortable if the trip involves lot of hiking around.

One of the best lenses you can purchase for the Sony mirrorless system . This lens competes with the best in class Canon and Nikon lenses. It is on the pricier side, and can be quite heavy in comparison to other ear mount lenses. However you must keep in mind that this lens will only be useful on the higher end full frame camera systems, such as the Sony a9 or be a 7R3

I've only been using it for a week or two as an amateur photographer, but image quality is superb. It's a little heavy when working on a gimbal, but it can still be done. Can't wait to continue learning about all this versatile lens can do.

Over all great lens. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of images I’ve been able to produce with my Sony a7iii. I’ve been working with it about 3 weeks in different lighting conditions and I can’t find anything I don’t like about it so far. It’s larger than the other lenses I own. It comes with a protective case and I love that extra piece of mind I have because of the case when traveling with it.

Omg This is better than I expected, it has a use for everything I want. Before, I had several lenses, but now I only use this one. Wow.

Bought the G Master 24-70 2.8 for my new Sony Alpha RIII. The results so far are fantastic. I currently have a Canon 1D IV with a similar lens. The G Master stacks-up nicely, although I don't have significant time with it to do a valid comparison. As mentioned on many sites, the size of this lens somewhat negates the small size of the camera. Still, it is easier to lug-around than the big 1D Canons. If you have large hands, you may find that t he lens and your fingers are a tight fit between the lens and the camera body. The small size of the camera body and the weight of the lens may make you want to think about an extension for the camera body (such as the Sony extended grip, or a Really Right Stuff). If you expect a large lens for this type of picture quality, you should love the lens.

Purchased this lens hoping it would stop me from bringing three prime lenses for a short weekend trip, or a stroll around a new town, or doing casual photography.. Paired this bad boy with my A7iii and went to Chicago as well as New York City and I was blown away by the sharpness of this lens! The ONLY two cons I can think of are, price and weight.. I still went with this lens over the Tamron and Sigma.. I just loved how this 24-70 produced pictures at every focal length.. But even after carrying my A7iii + 24-70 GM all day around NYC the weight issue seemed to not bother me as much.. Rent it from a reputable place and give it a shot, you will love it!

Love this lens for my Sony a7iii. Had a sigma and this is much better quality.

Really love these lens and how versatile they are. Super sharp and fast. The only downsize is that it’s a bit heavy but I expected it to be. Worth the money.

This is an amazing lens. It's a bit pricey but it is well worth the money. It works great in low light and the images are crisp. The F4 24-70 version is no where near as fast or sharp.

I recently boight my first camera and this lens came with it & im lovin it im still learning but so far i have only positve things to say about it worth it 100%

I’ve had this lens for almost 2yrs. I totally recommend it. Takes sick pics and depth of field. Good for low light. Heavy to travel but it’s my go to lens.

This is probably one of the best lenses I have ever owned. I am a serious travel/landscape hobby photographer. This lens is accurate and fast on the Sony A7R3/A73. The eye autofocus is an outstanding feature when using the Sony A7R3/A73. The only real downside is that this lens can be considered heavy on the smaller mirrorless camera bodies (not too much of a downside though). Not the ideal casual walk-around lens, however, if you're doing something serious, the quality is worth the weight. Its also very expensive but if you can save up the cash for it, it's well worth the money.

I purchased this lens about 2 months ago and have not had a single regret. This lens is sharp as a tac and works amazing in moderate to low light which is extremely helpful in motorsports photography. Its become my go to lens.
