Big PS4 fan, The headphones are big and ears get very warm. Sound quality is average nothing to write home about. The control buttons could be bigger.

Sound quality, battery life, and build make it a great addition to your ps4. The sound can be adjusted in many different ways with custom and premade sound profiles. The Virtual surround sound/bass can be on and chat/game volume can be adjusted. The only thing I disliked was because the earpads are pleather that your ears get sweaty after long use. This can be an issue if you have sensitive ears like mine. I can't stand the sweat build up and have to remove them after 45-1hr of use. Other than that they are awesome. They sound good too if you connect a 3.5mm and use them as normal headphones from your iphone/mp3 player.

I read a fair amount of reviews before making this purchase, and I wanted something that would work perfectly with my PS4 and Vita. The Gold Wireless Stereo Headset does not fail. The headset fits perfectly over my ears and rather comfortably. Often times I forget it's even there, as it's that comfortable and supported. I sometimes get the buttons confused (there are more than a few buttons on the side of one of the speakers), but it's not too much of a hassle to figure it out in the instance I do forget. I like being able to switch the wireless adapter back and forth between my PS3 and PS4, and when I want to use it with my Vita, the 3.5mm audio cable can be connected. I like the quick versatility that it offers. It sounds great to boot!

I just bought this headset and have been so impressed thus far. It's easy to set up on PC and PS4 (just make sure you don't have the headphone 3.5 mm jack plugged into anything (it's not really needed except for your phone/mp3) and make sure on PS4 to adjust the settings to allow all sounds on the headset). The surround sound and overall sound quality are fantastic as long as you have the bass booster (setting 2) turned on. It works great on PS4 for gaming and sounds just as good for watching YouTube videos or Netflix (although you won't get surround sound on PC). Definitely a good buy. Also, these headphones are quite comfortable for hours and hours. The battery life of 8 hours is quite sufficient. I probably could have paid $200 or more for the same headset and been satisfied. I definitely recommend this to any gamer or even anyone looking for good wireless headphones.

Headset cuts in and out when playing battlefield. Game sound is too quiet while chat is very loud. Buy a turtle beach or other 3rd party headset instead.

I was really impressed at high quality sound these headphones deliver. Very comfortable to wear even during long periods. They seem to hold a charge for a long time and the bluetooth has excellent range.

Sony has improved on every new iteration of its gaming headset for there PlayStation Family. This latest release is worth every penny. The sound is crisp and very comfortable to wear during extended game play sessions(6Hrs+). Plays well with my PC and phone like its older counter parts. My only negative views on this product are as follows. No boom/extendable mic - removed after the first gen. Wireless transmitter not as strong as 2 previous versions(Still meets the advertised distance when no obstructions present) No longer supports AUX 3.5mm port on transmitter(Implemented on PULSE Elite) All in all worth the purchase. Personally I would repurchase it in a heart beat if accidentally broke or lost it.

For the price not worth it. It kept cutting in and out and everyone said it was hard to hear me. I used the original ones and it was way bettet.

I write this review from the perspective of the person who no longer had to listen to shooting and explosions rather than the person using them daily. We have a small apartment so sound travels really well from the living room speakers to the bedroom. These headphones are fantastic for bringing peace into the home. I also love that they work well for movies too so I can watch TV late at night. They are very comfortable and the simulated surround sound is really cool. But most of all I am thrilled that I no longer have to listen to stupid games and explosions.

Well put together but has several operational issues. Reading forums these problems have existed for years and have not been fixed. Returned

The ear cuff is held by a small peice of plastic and once thats gone you cant use the headset properly. They were fine while they lasted

When these first came out, I thought they would run for $200 or more. No they were only $100. This is wireless, 7.1 surround sound, can be used as a mic. It can be paired up wirelessly with your laptop, even apple, works with the ps3. What more could you ask for? The build was kind of cheap though and these are more like entry level headsets. But overall great item!

I bought these to use with my PS4. I have Astro headsets, which are dolby surround sound, but couldn't use with my PS4 since I had no chat cable. The sound is not good, and they are not very comfortable. I found an alternate solution to these, so I returned them. I would even recommend Turtle Beaches before buying these. Trust me, don't waste your time. Spend a few extra bucks and get something that is both comfortable to wear and sound good.

This is an excellent option for a gaming headset. You'll have a hard time finding a headset with the same features for a similar price point especially since the Sony headset has regularly gone down to $80 and even $70 on sale. There are certainly headsets with better sound quality and battery life (the battery drains fairly quick) but this headset is a great bang for your buck. If you just want a wireless headset that makes your games more immersive and allows you to use your PS4 without bothering others, this is the headset for you. The accompanying PS4 app is also nice for having special settings for certain games.

I found this headset to be a great value. Do not expect it to sound like a four hundred dollar headset but, if you want solid sound and a great hidden microphone for under one hundred dollars, than this is the headset for you. The headset is comfortable, enjoys several external controls and is fast to come to a complete charge. I love the surround sound for games and movies. I often find myself turning off the surround sound so I can listen to music while doing my house work. With supplied auxiliary cable it easily connects to my tablet so I can watch "The Walking Dead" and not disturb the other occupants of my household. A solid buy, thank you sony.

I recently purchased these headsets from my local best-buy a few days ago, and with the experience I had so far, they are a steal. I enjoy how they are truly wireless, and include a unique companion app on PS$ and PS3. This helps fine tone the headset to experience audio in specific game better. With the price match guarantee I found these headsets advertised on Walmart.com for $40! So I printed the ad, brought it to best-buy and bagged myself a pair for only $40!!! I can't wait to continue to use them!

This is an outstanding headset! Its comfortable, especially with glasses, I can wear it for hours and hours and It will feel right (If you sweat before or when your playing in hot/humid temperatures, it may feel awkward...Best to use in a cooler area). Only thing is that sometimes, it feels like it may snap on me one day, if abused, I recommend that your gentle with it. Otherwise the price is right!

Very difficult to control game volume with voice volume...

For the price, this headset is awesome. Good sound and comfortable to play with for hours. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Some people complain about the build quality of this headset. If you take care of your stuff and don't just toss them around, i don't see why this headset couldn't last. I've had mine for about 6 months and they feel and look brand new.

I'm really impressed by Sony's Gold Wireless headset. The 7.1 virtual surround sound is crisp and clear. For those who need extra bass, there's a bass mode (#2 by the power button). I play a lot of Battlefield 4 on the PS4 and you can hear every step from all directions. The headset is easy to use as well. It's as simple as plugging in the USB dongle and powering on your headset. The PS4/3 will automatically recognize the headset. Voice chat is really good and the noise cancelling works really good as well. I was laying right next to my newborn with guns blazing and he didn't make one peep. You can also call out voice commands to the PS4 via the headset. This is definitely the best bang for your buck and will only get better when the companion app arrives February 22. Astro A50's are good, but I couldn't notice a $250 difference.
