First off i must say the sound quality is top notch clarity is flawless. My only issue is after a few months of usage the plastic section that goes over your head got brittle and broke in several places, I had to duct tape it from end to end as I am still using it to date. If Sony had made it from aluminum I would give it 5 stars easily.

The wireless headset is a lot easier than wired headsets

Beware of brittle plastic hinges that snap like they were made of Saltine crackers. I'm glad I followed my instincts and got the protection plan. Something told me I would need it for these.

TL;DR IF YOU ARE WANTING YOUR GAMES TO SOUND GOOD, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THESE. THERE IS LITERALLY NO BASS IN THESE HEADPHONES. My first impression was that these were easy to setup, and that they were very comfortable. I am used to headphones crushing my big head, but these sit nicely on me. The build quality is great and the app support is interesting. Upon turning them on and using them, my first impression of the sound.....was that something was wrong. I immediately plugged in a pair of earbuds (Apple EarPods) into the controller to compare sound. Even those little earbuds had better bass response than this headset. I used them to play Destiny, and even after loading up the Destiny EQ setting from the app, these were severely lacking in the bass section. While the "virtual surround" feature seemed to work just fine, these headsets made it seem like the headphones were sitting about an inch or two away from your ear. Unfortunately, for a pair of headphones that say "the way games were meant to sound" right on the box, Im pretty disappointed with these. I have talked to my friend who also has these and he seems to think they are fine. but for a $100 pair of headphones, the sound is not there, they just arent worth it. I suggest that if you get them, do it with the intent on potentially returning them for a different headset. Since i've gotten these, i have returned them and bought the Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500P that was just released. those completely blow this headset out of the water. They have tons of bass response and are lighter (albeit a little tighter on the head). I would suggest getting those instead of these as you will not question the integrity of the sound on those. After 4 months of owning this headset the fragile hinges cracked and sony doesn't stand behind their products. They will not cover it under warranty I was not rough with them they're cheaply made garbage

what can I say but try and find someone that has them and you find why everyone is happy with them. If best buy would demo them they would not last on the shelf. Try them all then try the Gold's

Easy to set up. Just plug in the USB and you are ready to go. These headsets work on PC as well. Decently comfortable and easy to use headsets, but the sound quality is mediocre at best. They do the job and are great for the price.

the unit was just perfect until about 3 months into using them. the signal was broken and connect became worse and worse. I went through all the reset and support options for the headset to no avail. now am in a tangle with sony tech support because they still under a one year warranty. perhaps just a bum set, we will see. if replacement set breaks again this will not be a good recommendation for these headsets.

This was a gift for the hubby. He had a pair and they broke, so he wanted another pair. They work well and enhance the gaming experience.

My husband had a pair of wire head phones so I wanted to get him some wireless ones for gaming for his birthday. So I went with the Sony brand and someone at Best Buy also helped me pick them out, well in less than a month when he was putting them on his head, one side of ear phones snapped where they fold up. No he doesn't have a big head, but we took them back with warranty but not to long after, I would say about 3 months, the next pair did the same thing so he tapped them because once you use your warranty on a broken pair they told us we could not use it again unless we wanted to buy another warranty.

This started out as a great headset...and then i was playing online with my friends and realized that i had to choose to either hear the game loud and clear or hear my buddies talking loud and clear. my last headset was the Turtle Beach PX21 where it had separate volume controls for the game and for chat. This headset makes you choose and when you have it loud enough to hear your friends and the game at the same time both are a little too low for my liking. i'm going to try the PX4 instead and hopefully have better luck with getting what i want.

I wasn't sure about this headset since there were some mixed reviews out there... however, once I started using it, I was a fan! Still am! Would definitely recommend:)

Purchased as a gift for my nephew. He uses these headphones each time he plays the playstation 4. No complaints.

I admire the design of this headset. The exterior is black and the inner is a deep blue. Excellent design Sony!
