Beware: This is not a Microwave, doesn't work if you're gaming under water and is NOT compatible with VHS players/Zune. Other than that, headset is great! I own the (now) older PS3/PS4 Gold Wireless Headset (for the last 8~ years) and never had issues with it. I do remember one night no one could hear me, and after hours of Googling I found out it's because I had the headset on backwards (left vs right) which makes sense with how the microphone is designed internally. Oops! Comparing this one to the old one (Gold), this feels more comfortable, and the audio sounds slightly better (but it's hard to say with just 1 night of use so far). Comparing this one to other headsets, well that gets ugly. As you know, there are countless headsets out there, and every gamer is going to say one is better than the other, some of them get paid via affiliate links/ads and what not, and you'll always have people compare a "wired" headset to a "wireless", or this one is cheaper, this one does 7.1, etc etc. To save you a little bit of Googling, this is one of the best WIRELESS headsets you can get that does 7.1 Surround Sound for it's PRICE. You'll always sacrifice something going another route. • You might find a cheaper headset, but it's wired. • You might find a one that's nicer and wireless, but it's more expensive. • You might find one that is the same price, wireless, but it's not 7.1 surround sound. • You might find one that's wireless, cheaper, and better, but it's not a headset, it's a horse. So in my humble opinion, this is the best 7.1 headset for it's price... and it's made by Sony and I always prefer to stick with same companies and not add too many 3rd parties to my stuff. This product is so lame! The looks and feels cheap. Dont do it unless your on a budget. I returned for something else.

At first the headset was great, but after about a week, everyone I gamed with said I sounded distorted, under water, or that my mic was exploding... dont buy

I bought this headset recently to upgrade my offbrand wired one, I expected a $100+ headset to be a lot better than what this is. My headset cuts out frequently, I will be unable to hear anyone for several minutes any time I game. I also cannot keep the battery charged, I will allow the headset to die completely, charge the suggested time, and it will be dead again within two to three hours. Very disappointed.

From the beginning they lack connectivity. Now they stop working on and off

These are much cheaper and less reliable than the old models. I couldn’t recommend these unless they were around 30 dollars.

Not able to sync with ps4. Even watching you YouTube for troubleshooting. Still cannot sync to ps4.

Really good sound but the charger stops working in less than 4 months

When my original Sony gold stopped working I figured I would go and buy the new Sony golds. that was a mistake the sound quality is horrible it doesn't even come close to comparing to the original Sony golds. So I returned them went online and bought a used original Sony golds!

Do not like that they have to be plugged in to charged sometimes while playing

These headphones had a bad echo and the sounds were not very good. We returned them.

Purchased for Christmas gift to a friend and ended not giving it to them. I went to use it a few months ago and it would not work at all. brand new never opened and it will not turn on or charge. This is past the return date and im stuck with a 100 dollar paper weight. waist of money.

The ear phones are too small for my ears. Otherwise it works fine.

Great if they would stay connected to Bluetooth...

every says my mic is TRASH online kinda hurts my feelings. and when i have the Bluetooth hooked up I kept getting a HORRIBLE screeching noise everyone could hear to where I had to just use the aux cord.

The Sony PlayStation Gold Wireless Headphones felt cheap and didn't sound much better. Returned next day. Hoping Sony offers on-board Bluetooth headphone connectivity. Until then I will use a great pair of non-Sony branded wired headphones.

I wanted to experience what the Playstation Headset had to offer, however the second I held it in my hand, it felt cheap. As if it was destined tk crumble after a while.

Had nothing but issues since i got these headphones, can't ever get chat audio to sound good enough with the rest of the game audio. Had for less than a year and already starting to fall apart.
