However, even with the base unit (no subwoofer or satellite speakers) it can create some amazing surround sound. I do wish that Sony would include the subwoofer without an additional fee. The only issue that I’m having with my unit is that it will on occasion turn itself back on again.

I'm mostly deaf and normally can't hear dialogue on TV or movies, but the voice is so clear, I only miss just a little. I highly recommend this sounder to anyone who is fed up with awful TV sound. It has a bit of a learning curve for me (retired), but I'm learning. Its great.

Have the Hta7000 in a 24x24 sunroom and i don't think the 5000 is enough but i love the capability and sound quality when paired with the sw3 sub and rs3 rears.

Make sure you have a Sony X95j HD TV and not a Sony X90j HD TV if you plan on sitting it between the TV stand because it doesn't fit between the Sony X90J HD TV so keep that in mind before you purchase the item. Other than that it's a great soundbar to have for entertainment purposes.

It is a good sound and you can hear the immersive sound. It is cool how you can add additional speakers to the product. I have a sony tv so it links nicely. I Would recommend but note it is large and will take up more space than other soundbars.

Volume may vary depending on your source content. Make sure to try multiple sources. Check that the night mode function is turned off. Press the NIGHT button on the remote. The setting does not appear on the TV screen while the TV input is selected. In this case, you can check the setting in the front panel display. You can also make dialogs clearer by pressing the VOICE button on the remote.
Aside from adding the optional subwoofer and rear speakers, you can use the sound field function of the soundbar to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. You may refer to this link for more information:

I dont have the matching wireless rears or subwoofer but i dont really need them. Im in a townhouse apartment so i cant really use a big powered sub to its full extent, but i dont need to worry because this is full enough for now. Its not booming bass but for regular dialog and music play back im highly impressed. I will at some point get the rears and sub but im in now hurry. If youve got fussy "Karen or Kyle" as your neighbors this bar is fantastic at fulfilling my sound needs without giving that neighbor the chance to call the office. Im happy and shes angery about something else now lol.
