For the past six months I've had nothing but problems with this and the Sony SA-SW3 200W subwoofer where they just keep disconnecting from one another. As of today they will no longer even link to one another. I will never buy another Sony product every time I do it's always something wrong with them.

Returned and bought avr and speakers for a 5.1.2 setup.

Bought the full boat, bar, subwoofer and rears to go with the Sony A90J OLED for the easy pairing. that worked, but nothing else did. As soon as I tried it, I realized this was a bad mistake. Thought it was me so I hooked it up three more times from scratch. Not me. This was either a lemon or Sony just got this one wrong. Took back to Bestbuy who were great and returned without question. Did notice there were a couple other SW5 woofers on the open shelf. Future tip, look there first. Bought a Bose from website. Exactly what the doctor ordered. Stay in your lanes.

Not so good for the price

It was decent, but not worth it for the price in my opinion. I ended up returning it and getting a Samsung soundbar that came with a subwoofer instead. The Samsung cost less and actually had better sound as well in my opinion. This soundbar had some issues staying connected to the tv too, which was odd.

Not great, but not bad for the price

So I did not get a few features when passing my source through the sound bar. Going thru the TV then to the soundbar was OK, but then there was a slight delay with Dolby Atmos that I was not able to sync. I returned this for the A-7000

To make the dialog clear, press the night button on the soundbar remote control and turn on that function. That feature will help with clarity of dialog.
Also, update the software of your soundbar.A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your device. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur.

Don't buy this soundbar

The soundbar is stuck on the HELLO screen. Do your research, and just buy another brand!!!!!! This will absolutely be the last Sony product that I ever buy!!!

The dialog isn't any clearer than without the bar. I have to turn the volume up to the high 40's and low 50's to hear the dialog well. On my other TV's I can clearly hear the dialog at 18 or much below that.

Flashing hello. Unplugged, all cables swapped, Bravia TV reset, ps5 reset, changed all settings. Nothing. The sound quality is pretty diassapointing too tbh. Others have had the dame issue. Definitely not worth more than $300 and even then it's probably not going to last long.

Meh so far

The soundbar arrived a day earlier than the sub, thanks to a UPS delay. Both items were supposed to arrive today So I decided to try it out without the subwoofer and so far am underwhelmed. It really is no better than my bose cinemate 15 from 6 years ago. If sub does not make it better, its going back, no way worth $1000 more than what I had.

Speaker display stuck in HELLO

Contacting Sony, they requested I send it for repair to a location in New York since it’s outside the one year warranty window. It was a nice speaker but for several hundred dollars, this needs to last longer or the customer service should be better.
