    Great controller

So i originally got this controller from playstation direct and i really like them the fact u can change the analog sticks is a great concept. I dont get the people saying they last an hour i played dead soace for a good 5+ hours before it needed a charge. The controller comes with a very long braided cable so its easier to charge if u do sit far away and wanna charge it while gaming so its not that bit of a deal 1 hour charge is a lie if anybody thinks this thing only lasts 1 hour they dont actually own this and are trolling. Its very subjwctive if you want this controller or not its mainly recommended for people who are mainly just tired of the stick deift and want easier ways of replacing the annoying stick drift or for competitive games. I recommend it purely because its just a nice ovwrall controller and i like the ps3 dome aticks gives me that nostalgic feeling.

The duelshock edge is the best controller i have ever used and i have had every PS console Sony has put out. It feels a little heavier than your standard controller and like most complaints the battery life could be longer. everything about it feels top quality and being able to map out your buttons to the paddles is a great feature the price is a little high, but in my opinion worth it

Has a good weight, feel and build quality though not as solid feeling as my elite 2. Love the idea of the replaceable joysticks if needed. I would have liked to see 4 buttons on the back like all other pro style controllers . Battery life is the only real meh thing about this controller so maybe they could have done a swappable battery if they couldn’t use a larger capacity. A swappable battery would have added to the longevity of the controller in joint with the swappable joysticks. It doesn’t last as long as the dualsense yet alone my Xbox controllers and no where remotely close to the Xbox Elite 2 controller. It would have been nice for a built in charging dock inside the case like the elite 2 but not a big deal since this controller can charge on the same dock I use for the dualsense unlike the elite 2 that cannot share the dock I use for the standard Xbox controllers. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase and like the controller but other than the replaceable joysticks it just isn’t on the same level as the Xbox elite 2 overall yet costs more, so there is definitely room for improvement.

The regular controllers keep having that dreaded stick drift problem. I’ve gone through 5. At $80 a pop I was really not happy. Got this and now I can swap out the modules if/when they misbehave. Worth it if you are having the same experience as me. Also they have customization options (trigger feel, shortcut buttons, profiles)

Got this along with my PS5 console for my birthday this year and I gotta say, im pretty impressed by this particular PRO Controller. Obviously, with the extra buttons to program to users preferences. If/when stick drift with eventually come in time if you don’t ake care of it. Live the fact that I don’t have to go get a hardshelled protective traveling case. I’d recommend this controller for the PS5 without a second thought

Same as Xbox elite but a few differences

To start, this controller is the same as the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller when it comes to mapping buttons and setting up profiles. The controller doesn't last as long as the Elite 2 but it still a great controller. I think the one feature that really stands out is the ability to swap broken thumb sticks if needed. Theres I little slider to use to open up the compartment where the thumb sticks are. Super easy to swap. I kind of wish Xbox thought of this. Playing my MW2 and setting it up the same way my elite controller is set was very easy and I kind of forget which console I'm playing on because the controllers are so similar . I wanna say the batter lasts for a good 4 1/2 close to 5 hours after a full charge. It's not bad but the elite controller has a better batter. The other difference I noticed with this controller is the ability to charge it in its case. You can charge it in the case but you connect it direct to to charging cable that is fed through the back of the case. The elite controller has a magnetic charging base and the charging cable plugs int that so you can just lay the controller inside the base to charge instead of unplugging the cable all the time. I say again though it's still not a bad controller as the elite and this controller have features that separate themselves. I'm loving the controller so far! I would definite recommend it to any hardcore ps 5 gamer. Totally worth it!

    Sony Edge Dual Sense Controller

Hardware: The controller is well made as it’s a direct from Sony product. It comes with a nice looking, semi hard case that houses your controller and swappable parts. It comes with trigger stops, rounded or flat “r3/l3” stick caps, and both paddles and buttons for you rear inputs which are all easily interchangeable. Software: Your PlayStation recognizes it’s an Egde controller the first time you plug it in and it takes you through a brief tutorial then lets you set up your back button inputs. You can set up different profiles and each profile can have up to 5 “change in the fly” configurations for each profile but you can also change your configs at any time through the settings menu. Issues: Initially, I bought this product direct from Sony when it first came out. I play FPS games 10-20 hours per week and I started to get stick drift after ~6 months. Plus, the back paddle that I use for “crouch” started inputting the same input as the other paddle that I use for “jump” so I couldn’t slide without bunny hopping. I tried taking the sticks and paddles off and cleaning out the controller with a cotton swab but it didn’t help. I’m not a rager, I don’t drop or throw my controller so my advice is, if you game frequently, would 100% purchase the Best Buy product protection plan when getting this product. Price: Even as a pretty avid gamer who is fortunate enough to have disposable income paying $200+ for a controller is a tough pill to swallow. Especially since a standard Ps5 controller is nearly 1/3 of the price. This is the only thing keeping this product from being rated a 5/5. TL;DR: The controller is fantastic. The price is really high. Definitely get the Best Buy protection plan.

    Great pro controller, but...

First off, great pro controller. I was super excited when Sony announced the controller, and it lived up to the hype. Sony took a little from Microsoft, a little from Astro and made a great controller. I like their version of profile switching and volume/party/game sound control. If you own any pro type of controller you are used to the button assignment, trigger, and customization screens. You really can’t change the basics already set in place. I like the different style PlayStation took to back paddles but, found myself used to the normal paddles on any pro controller and switch back to them after one gaming session. This is great for those who hate the traditional paddle types as they get in the way for some gamers. Nothing worse than jumping, ducking, or reloading at the wrong time. I also like the locking power cord adapter. This controller shines but only on the PlayStation console unless you prefer the PS type of controller on PC. I prefer an Astro C40 or Xbox Elite 2 controller on PC if I use one as they are just better in grip and functionality. The Elite 2 controller with adjustable thumb stick tightness is next level. Another issue with the controller is battery life, 12 to 13 hours is terrible. The Astro C40 will give you 12 hours, the Elite 2 will give you 40. This is not a deal breaker but an issue that Sony has had for two consoles now and seems to not be looking to resolve anytime soon. Would I say get this controller? Well yeah, if you own a PS5 and don’t mind not having the physical customization of a SCUF (e.g., colors choices) then this is for you. If you’re a PC player go for the Elite 2 unless you prefer the PS type of controller over the bulkier Xbox industry standard. Hey folks I have them all and they all serve a purpose. Live life and remember console wars don’t exist real gamers have all systems.

This controller is a must have between the customization, grips, triggers and easily replaceable parts. If the battery life is a worry, it’s not that bad and comes with a long charging cord. I have the dual PS charge stand so never really experience issues. Another bonus is the integration with PlayStation and how easy it is to customize all aspects of the controller.

The Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller is a top-notch upgrade for any gamer. The build quality is fantastic, and it feels great in your hands, even during long gaming sessions. The customization options are where this controller really shines. You can remap buttons, adjust trigger and stick sensitivity, and add back buttons for quicker reactions. These features give you a real advantage, especially in competitive gaming. If you’re serious about leveling up your skills, this controller is definitely worth it. It’s comfortable, customizable, and makes a noticeable difference in performance. Highly recommend!

Honestly a very good controller even for the average consumer. The customization is adequate with settings such as different profiles for each game and two programmable buttons. Cons, about 4 hrs battery life and i wish there was more programmable buttons (4 in total at least). Overall a must buy if you're an average to elite gamer.

    Dualsense Edge

The dualsense edge controller is probably my best purchase. If you play mostly console games and spend a lot of time on the game like me, this is the controller for you. The controller definitely has better grip, specifically around the back of the handles and the triggers. The triggers are adjustable, the analog sticks are swap-able. My preference is the tall dome tops. The entire analog stick mechanism can be replaced in case you ever get stick drift, and is only $20 for a replacement. You have 4 controller profiles to pick from in hand, and more presets are available to make. Note that the extra triggers for controller profiles only duplicate the option you want (my boost in rocket league is set to square, so I can press either or and they both work), it does not give an extra button. Think of it like a shortcut. For the con, battery life is shorter, but that’s expected as the analog sticks take up more room in this controller. Expect 2-4 hours of battery life, but you can play and charge so it doesn’t really affect me. Controller is also heavier, but not ridiculously heavier. Solid build

Perfect upgrade from the basic controller. It’s not too heavy and the joy cons are smooth as butter. I really like the case and optional back paddles. Easy to take apart and clean.

If you're a gamer this is for you, customizable buttons and paddles. The joysticks are removable, the paddles are magnetic and they can flip into to two styles. The other paddle is higher on the controller. The trigger stoppers are good if you want you reach maximum threshold for the R2 and L2 in 75% the time. You can also create profile for the paddle base on the game and the paddle's key binding. The weight is a little heavier than normal control but that's how I like it. They provide a case with a charging socket that allows you to lock charge to the controller.

The best controller for ps5. Simple and easy to remap controls. Lower latency (than standard dualsense controllers) when plugged in. Usable on Pc. Volume and Party mix without leaving the game or removing your hands from the controller. Different height analog sticks included. Easy repairing analog sticks though I still dont have drift after like 18 months. Definitely my go-to controller. If it does ever break ill 100% be getting it again.

Let me start off by saying that i’ve used many, and i mean many 3rd party pro controllers over the years, scuf, battlebeavers, cinch gaming, aim controllers, you name it. Out of all of the pro controllers i used, this Dualsense Edge is by far the best one yet. I’m glad Sony has finally made a 1st Party OEM pro controller, it’s been a minute but im glad they’re stepping up. The paddles are actually fantastic, i kinda wish Sony would’ve made 4 paddles, but two isn’t bad. The fact you can swap out your sticks in case you get stick drift is amazing, best part about it you can order new parts for the Edge on the Sony website. The grip on this controller feels amazing, the trigger stops, all feel amazing. I can never go back to 3rd party controllers again, the fact you can buy the Dualsense Edge with all these amazing add-ons and it’s only $200? Vs a 3rd party controller where you’ll end up paying double? This is the best bang for your buck. I strongly recommend anyone to buy this you won’t regret it.
