Pretty amazing controller if im being honest. Only wish it had 4 remappable buttons in the back instead of 2

I Purchased 2 of These Controllers as I am A 100% Disabled Vet that Occasionally Plays 1 Game. Within 3 Months 1 Controller had A Shredded Cable and The 2nd Lost Accurate Connectivity to The PS5. The Game Essentially Played Itself with 47 Wandering Into Walls Without Any Input from The Controller. Trying to get Warranty Assistance from Best Buy or Sony is A Philippine Exercise in Futility. Don’t Waste Your Money. The Regular Controllers Usually Go in A Year of Moderate Game Play. For $320 USD with An Useless Protection Plan - Don’t Put Yourself Through The Misery.

I would want to give this controller a higher rating but honestly I would be DEAD WRONG. This controller is a basic ps5 controller but worse. The battery life is awful, do your own research, they make the batteries smaller than the already horrible batteries of the regular ps5 controller. The next thing which is the BIGGER PROBLEM is, the BACK BUTTONS are very CHEAP. They are easy to malfunction. I have had this controller for just over a month and my back button has already became loose and it doesn’t click anymore. I have had this controller not even two months and this is my second one. The first one I purchased I had the same problem in just over two months. Don’t waste your time and don’t waste your money! Also controller only comes in white form and it gets dirty really easily.

I bought it because the drift problem with the regular and after almost 2 years the X button won’t work.. so it’s still junk…

Haven't found much posted about this online, but my guess is, this issue is gonna start popping up more and more for people Got my dualsense edge on release day. Maybe logged 80-100 hrs gametime using it over the course of 2+ months. Left paddle started out very nice and responsive with a good click, noticed today, it's since started turning to mud especially compared to the right paddle. Looking at the back, I believe I've spotted the issue. The metal housing on the controller that the paddles slide into is now slightly "floating" around in the recessed cavity it sits in on the controller. pretty sure that metal piece (the "socket" the paddle slides into, is the actual physical "button", similar to a front face button, and the paddles just act as a lever to depress and close the circuit connection on the controller circuit board. The opposite side paddle socket does not have an of this movement/"wiggle" at all inside the rece round hole they both sit in on each side of the controller

Ds3 broke my O so new new fr fr but its nice though no cap!

It’s really good except the price point but other than that it delivered on all its promises

Not even 6 months in and had to replace a stick module due to stick drift, 2 months later had to replace the second one but Sony isn’t selling them anymore so the controller is basically a dud.

I received mine the day it launched 1/26/23 (had it preordered from PlayStation. There are some things I love about the controller and some things I dislike about it. I’ll start with the pros. Pros: It is beautiful. The color scheme is perfect for those who prefer monochromatic with RGB lighting like myself. It is heavier than the original by about 50 grams, which is great for me, as the Scuf Reflex Pro & FPS versions feel like toys (although their FPS button options are good for games like Warzone). The adaptive triggers on this feel better than the original base controller, are more stable and the trigger texture is great. The grip on the back and sides make it feel comfortable to hold, rather than how the regular DualSense causes cramps. The fact that you can change out the sticks is a bonus, as I’ve had 2 controllers develop stick drift and another start to feel like an unoiled hinge, creaking. The half-circle back buttons feel great as it fits best for my hands where I won't accidentally press them like I would with my Elite & Elite 2 for the Xbox. The long dome knob is a great addition too for those who already have their muscle memory to those from playing with an Elite 2 remote. I do like the trigger locks to adjust how far you need to pull the trigger, it’s very useful for specific games. I LOVE that they still work with the adaptive triggers while that's in effect. The buttons feel the same as with the original controllers so not much of a change there, but the touchpad does feel much nicer. The case is sturdy and feels like it can survive most impacts and won't need to worry. It has an area you can attach a small lock to the zipper or you can use a carabiner as I do with my headset & controller cases when I need to travel. The case also has a Velcro strap area to attach a USB-C wire to charge directly into the controller while not using it. It’s similar to the Elite Series 2 but that one uses a magnetic base to charge while allowing you to plug it directly into the controller. The last pro might be the most important. The software involved is great compared to many other controller customization software. It’s a little rough in certain spots but it’s great for what it is. Allows you to change how much you need to press for the triggers before it registers, allows you macro every button, and changes the type of slope for the sticks, including their dead zone. All these things are great for specific customizations for specific profiles for the controller. Here are the cons. Cons: While you can change out the sticks, the plastic that gets pressed in doesn’t seem very strong. It looks like it might be an issue down the road if one of the teeth bends or breaks and you have to replace the entire accessory pack with a new stick module. The battery is about 2/3 as long as the regular DualSense controller (DualSense is around 1,560 mAH while the DualSense Edge is 1,050 mAH). So it won’t last nearly as long if you utilize features like the gyroscope or the adaptive triggers. It does come with a USB-C lock to keep your wire attached to it while gaming, so when it runs low you don’t have to worry about it dying. It is something I very much love about it but I don’t think the battery will last more than 4+ years if it is what you use every day. The FN keys are great but one arrived loose which made me return it for a replacement since I could see that being an issue later on. But the features it has is still A1, even better than the Xbox’s version. Conclusion: I would recommend this controller to everyone to anyone who spends a lot of time gaming on a PS5 or PC (and only uses a controller and can wait for updates to make it more compatible with a PC). It is an almost perfect addition to any PS5 setup and if you find the DualSense uncomfortable, this will help alleviate those issues. For me, the Elite Series 2 is the best controller but I am a primary PlayStation gamer so it has been rough. If you are tall, heavy, or just have large hands you will understand that issue that many remotes cause. This DualSense Edge is comfortable enough for long periods of gaming and will make anyone happy to receive this. Thank you for reading such a long review, but I figured having and playing with it every day since it came out would give some insight into why this is such an awesome controller.

I purchased this controller for my son's birthday. He was very excited to receive it, but disappointed in the compatability. He specifically asked for it because of the function of the back buttons. However, it did not perform well for his specific games. We are returning it.

I like the pro bestter thand the default but it should have 4 paddles instead of 2.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the position of the paddles on the back. I had a different brand “pro” controller and it felt way better in your hands. This one feels odd. But I’m sure eventually you would get used to it

I like it but some reason i dont use the paddles but is very good is on point.
