Great, but not Xbox elite controller level

Knew what I was in for with battery life and two back paddles, but having the last two elite controllers from Xbox this is just not as good. Don't get me wrong it's worth it because I'm used to not having to move my hands as much, but man do I miss the two extra paddles playing PS5. Due to this anything that comes out on Xbox and PS5 will probably be bought on Xbox even with the cool controller audio.

Tried a ton of controllers from razer and the modular bfg and xbox elite and a ton of 8bitdo ones and this is my absolute favorite. The locking cord is fantastic, the weight and texturing and size, the haptics and swappable sticks and rear buttons are all just so great. Genuinely out of 30+ years gaming this is the best controller ive used even for the high price. And thats coming from a pc gamer, i dont even have a ps5, its working great especially with games that support the dualsense haptics like helldivers 2

Must have controller for the serious PlayStation gamer. Back paddles help tremendously with online fps games and all games alike if you want to map different buttons to them through the accessories app.

I had some extra BB rewards to break the cost, however after having it for a while, it is worth the full price. It feels solid, not like some of the off-brand PS5 controllers. Nothing inside will snap if you breathe at it funny. One of my favorite features are the programmable paddles and how they are implemented. At any time you can have 3 button preset profiles (+default) at a click of two buttons. In your back pocket you can save more profiles and swap them to the ease of access with few extra clicks within the PS5 interface. The extra button tabs under the sticks will take you where you need to be without having to navigate the PS5 menus. Some of the coolest features are the headphone controls on this controller where you can adjust the volume and Game/Party Chat volume mixer. This was a good buy

    It's A Game Changer

The DualSense Edge is everything you want a pro controller to be. It's a premium design that doesn't feel cheaply made. The buttons have zero input lag and 'click' very nicely. The triggers on the back are perfectly positioned for easy access without accidental hitting during gameplay. The customizable options in the PS5 dashboard is easy to follow. The plate is a glossy finish. I would prefer a matte finish, but it's no big deal. The only con is the battery life. If you're a casual gamer, you won't have a problem. If you're hardcore, you might get 4-5 hours out of a charge. So the battery life is no better than the original controllers. They make up for it with a solidly built, long charging cord with a locking mechanism that plugs right into your controller. Charge time is pretty standard. Overall, while it might do you well to get this on sale instead of paying $200, it's a great controller and you'll be happy with this investment.

    My favorite controller

I purchased the Dual Sense Edge on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The controller has all the features you could want in a pro controller, a heavier feel, customization, paddles, trigger depression settings, hot swaps, etc. Once acclimating to the paddles you can add on the back I did in fact see a notable improvement in my performance in competitive games. My one and only draw back is the controllers PC compatibility—although holding that against it is dumb because the controller was designed for the PS5 not pc—I had some issues with voice chat and what not, with my computer wanting to use the built in controller mic, but for solo games or people with a better tech understanding than me, the edge rocks on pc as well

The controller has everything that you need. Back buttons, adjustable triggers and the clear dual sense design. The controller did not solve the stick drift issue and still has drift after regular use. Yeah it does have replacement sticks but how long will the new sticks last. The battery is also really poor and doesn’t hold a charge very well.

    Ps 5 pro remote

I’ve owned a couple scuff remotes, and of course, the standard ones that come with the system but this remote by far is the best, my scuff remotes (both of them) were great until they died seven months into having them and of course the warranty was out at six months, they were also $330 compared to this one which was 200 and the thing I like about this one is you can replace the joysticks if the stick drift gets too out of control or if you have a warranty on it, you can take it back in and replace it for free and your warranty can be a year or two years depending on which one you buy or if you have a pro membership like myself, the warranty was free, the build quality of it just seems better than anything else I’ve used before so a big things to Sony for finally making a new remote with back buttons and instant triggers

    Very expensive but worth it?

First thing is the price. It is quite expensive. I don't like that too much, but it is an official controller from Sony so I don't mind too much. I just wish for the price that the warranty was much longer. The quality on this is top notch. The triggers on the rear can be set up any way you want, and that changes the whole game for first-person shooters. Did it make me a better gamer? I doubt it, but it may help you. Once you have those buttons in the back, you just can't go back. You can also set the travel on the triggers, great for first person shooters. It feels heavier than a standard controller, which it should. I cannot compare to any other aftermarket controllers because I don't have any, but this is definitely one of the best controllers I've ever used. I also have an Xbox series x elite 2 controller, but this PS5 controller seems to be of better quality. Plus it's lighter. If this controller lasts a couple of years without any major quality issues, I will leave this review alone. But for the price, I expect it to last at least two years. If it doesn't, I will update the review. If you have $200, get this.

    Best PS controller

In comparison to the standard controller, the pro controller offers a superior aesthetic and tactile experience. Notably, it eliminates the squeaking noise that can occur when the controller is squeezed excessively. Additionally, the pro controller allows for the customization of joysticks, mitigating concerns related to stick drift.

Love this controller. Had mine since it first came out and havent had any drift yet. Meanwhile i had to buy the regular controllers on a constant. I just wish it had 4 back buttons instead of 2,but nonetheless, perfect controller. Bought my son the same and loves it as well. I switched over to pc and i still use this controller and it helps that it has a cable lock so the wire doesnt come out when i use it(since i cant play K&M)and its always locked on.

Worth the money if you’re a serious gamer who goes hard on controllers! Switched from a Xbox elite series 2 to this once I got a pc! My main reason was because I’ve gone through 3 elites over the last 3 years and all of them started to get stick drift within 6 months, or lb -rb problems. $200 is worth it to have the interchange thumb sticks if they end up getting stick drift! Also if anyone is gonna use it on Pc, I recommend ds4 (free) , let’s it be recognized as an Xbox controller on games outside of steam and stuff like that

Awesome controller, slick, work great, alot better then stock controllers. It has a tad bit more heft to it which i personally like, the only negative i could say is how fast it dies but with that lockable charger that it come with does help alot always felt like the charging port was going to break on stock controllers, especially if you have kids.

The physical customization is just the beginning. Being able to swap out back buttons and thumb srick heads is nice but already standard in pro controllers. The addition of replaceable (and therefore possibly upgradeable) thumbstick units is SUPER cool. The customization you can do in the PS5 settings takes this controller to the next level. Almost mandatory if you really want to perform at the top level. PS: Best Buy should delete the garbage reviews thay are not only not a verified purchase but literally say they wont ever try it or buy it. Ridiculous people have so little going in their life they would leave a fake review for a playstation controller.

I give it 5 stars, simply for peace of mind. I've had stick drift with my original PS5 controller, and last month my backup controller started having it, very glad I got the extended warranty, got a best buy gift card and used that toward this. Battery life isn't an issue for me, and wasn't with dualsense as I play with vibration, and trigger effect intensity set to weak, and brightness of controller indicators set to dim. The back buttons have improved my times in Hitman 3, moving while concealing my weapon, and picking up objects (opening doors). Shortening the trigger throws has sped me too. Look forward to using this, when my VR Sense controllers need charging, or using those when this needs to be charged. Also, the PS5 settings are outstanding, and switching profiles is a breeze, do not over look that feature.
