It is the strongest controller Sony has made. The joysticks are changeable for $20 when they go out, so you don't have to buy a new controller. On top of that there are 2 more buttons that can be programed. Personally I made them the L3 and R3 buttons so I don't have to push down on the joysticks. There are depth adjustments for the L2 and R2 buttons, with 3 settings. The feedback for the L2 and R2 can only be used if the setting is at the full press.

Great controller with added benefits. Love the feel and weight of it vs factory controller. Plus no more stick drift and if it happens you can’t swap out joy sticks in seconds

The PS5 DualSense controller offers an immersive gaming experience with its advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Its ergonomic design ensures comfortable gameplay, while the built-in microphone and speaker enhance communication. The touchpad and responsive buttons contribute to a seamless and enjoyable gaming session, making it a standout choice for PS5 users.

I want preface, I'm not a hardcore gamer anymore, but this controller works in everyway. Whether you want to play single player and keep the triggers loose so you can feel the haptic feedback or whether you want to simulate the click of a mouse when playing shooters (all tho not as fast). I would give this a 5 star, if it wasn't for the short battery life. After every gaming session I feel like i have to plug it in to charge or the next gaming session it would die half way. I guess to keep the size of the controller the same they would have to make the battery smaller so they included a looong cord to attach to a charging source to remedy this. I love the controller regardless!

It's a nice upgrade from using the regular PS5 controller for the last few years. The back buttons sticks or whatever you call them and the function bottons being able to switch profiles on the fly are worth the extra cost.

    A Mixed Bag To Consider

Better than the regular DualSense, but still plagued with quality control issues and Sony's cut corners. The controller itself works fine, but I have already had two go through warranty service. 1) The rubber on the hand grips will peel up and/or bubble, even under light use. 2) The back buttons, internally, are basically thin plastic bars that the external button pushes on to activate the input. I have had in internal plastic parts of the buttons completely break, making it so the resr buttons are unusable and requiring full warranty service. Sony's customer service has become awful, as not only have I had these two controllers break under light use, but I had 8 regular DualSense with stick drift, two Pulse3d headsets & a Pulse Elite headset all crack along the top single plastic headband (awful design), and other issues since launch day of the PS5. Not only does Sony not care, not offer anything for the headaches, but they tend to make the processes for service or support as convoluted as possible. If you want a controller with extra buttons and features, replaceable parts, and higher quality options then there are other choices out there. If you want something that is just a step above the refulsr DualSense that inckudes a few conveniences on the PS5 than this mag not be a terrible option.

Fantastic Remote, don’t get anything else

I’ve used a wide range of controllers—everything from standard Xbox and Xbox Elite, to PlayStation, the Victrix Pro, and now the DualSense Edge. Without a doubt, the DualSense Edge stands out as the best in terms of functionality and compatibility. If you’re a PlayStation user, don’t bother with anything else. This controller goes above and beyond. All you might want to add is a Control Freak, and you’re set. I’m not sponsored or paid to write this, and I rarely leave reviews. But by golly, this thing is fantastic.

It really feels like a regular PS controller but overpriced. The idea is great.. you can customize the settings on each button for different games and you can swap out the stick module(s) if something happens. But 1 stick module replacement is about $20. And the playtime is short. The battery life is shorter than the Xbox or regular PS5 controller. For those who want to use this controller for any PC games, you can pay $5 on Steam to download some app that allows you to play PC games with the controller.

This is my second one because my son wanted one and I didn’t have a second thought when it came to buying. I have loved mine for both PC play and on the play station it made me put down my SCUF and Xbox elite series 2 for it forever.

Fantastic upgrade to the standard Sony controller. Includes 6 fully customizable analog sticks to get that perfect feel and 2 sets of optional rear paddles that you can program to any buttons. What really stands out are the Function buttons that you can program multiple button and stick sensitivity settings on the fly. The hard protective case and locking extended length braided charging cable complete the package. This blows my old Scuf controller out of the water!

Good controller. A plus to have it. I feel more comfortable using the half dome back buttoms than the paddles.
