Here are some key points: Comfortable Grip: The ergonomic design of this controller ensures a comfortable gaming experience, even during extended sessions. It fits well in my hands. Responsive Buttons and Triggers: The buttons and triggers are highly responsive, and the haptic feedback adds a layer of immersion to games that support it. Wireless Range: The wireless range is excellent, and I haven't experienced any connectivity issues. I can play from a reasonable distance without any lag. Battery Life: Battery life is decent. It lasts for several gaming sessions before needing a recharge. Build Quality: Sony has done a great job with the build quality. It feels durable and well-constructed. Overall, the Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller is a reliable and well-designed gaming accessory. It enhances the gaming experience without any unnecessary frills. Love it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.10/10 I recommend. This is by far the best controller to get if you’re into shooters or competitive games that require fast movements and precision. I will never go back to a regular controller after using this controller. the trigger stops add a huge advantage for me and I love how I can use 2 extra back buttons with the amazing selection of paddle grips that come with the controller. My gaming experience has went up since I got this controller as a gift!

Solid controller but might be too much for me
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller feels premium. But sometimes i feel is a bit too much for me. I play FC24 and COD. For COD is amazing i can fully customise everything. The best thing is that the i always get drift on my controllers after a while. Making me spend $70 to replace entire controller. With the edge i can just spend $20 and replace the joy stick. Its simple. Also i can adjust volume and mic with the function button as im play at same time without going to manu. I love it.. but for $200 i would Not purchase if you a ocasional playee.. if you a competitive gamer. I recommend. I got it on special for $150. Ohh another thing.. battery sucks about 3-4 hours. You can use it with no problem with the cable it comes with… the carying case is really nice and premium. Gives you options for the back paddles.

Good, but could have been great.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dualsense Edge is an extremely nice controller overall. If you’ve used the normal dualsense controller, then you know what I’m referring to. It fits nicely in the hand, is comfortable for long gaming sessions. I’m sure different people have different preferences, but here’s my input: Pros: Overall the controller is very comfortable, easy to use and having additional buttons to map is nice as well. (read cons about button mapping) The dualsense trigger adaptive feature is awesome. Especially when playing spider man or any racing game on the PS5, it definitely adds to the experience of whatever game you are playing. Having the ability to control the trigger pull distance is nice when switching from a racing game, where you need to be able the speed of your car coming around a turn, to an FPS, where every millisecond counts. the carrying case is very nice, and I like that it’s made from a harder material Cons: Button mapping(told you this would be back) “having additional buttons in the form of paddles means additional mappable buttons right?” Nope! Where you can rearrange the paddles to be mapped in place of a different button, you cannot map them as their own “additional” command, which I feel like was a missed opportunity. When in fps mode, although the distance of the pull is significantly shorter, I feel like it could have been even better. The face buttons aren’t comfortable to use, in my opinion. They feel like you have to put force into pressing them even when you don’t because of the mushy membrane internals underneath. I ended up buying a kit to replace the internals under the face buttons for mine from Extreme rate on amazon for like $18, to make the buttons more comfortable to use when playing. The battery life is basically non-existent. It says 10hrs, but after a full charge and then only a couple hours of playing, the controller is already at 1 bar. I know they also sell battery life extensions that you can get, but that’s an additional cost on top of your $200 controller. Carrying case/charging: where the case is nice, the charging is kind of janky. It’s just a hole in the back of the case with Velcro covering it where you feed your cable through and plug it into your controller. Unlike the elite controller from Xbox that has pins that the controller just sits on in the case, and the case is the charging station. The dualsense edge is a great controller, but I don’t know if it’s worth it at $200. I’d wait til it goes on sale (if Sony allows that Lol) or just modify your own controller to better fit you. Compared to the Xbox Elite 2 controller, which I’ve mentioned multiple times, because I also have one. I feel like the Edge falls short; especially for costing $20 more than its competitor, at its $200 price point, when an elite costs $180 and is just overall a better controller with the exception of the adaptive triggers.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this controller last year in September 2024, i havent had any issues up until about today August 13th 2025 and that “issue” is stick drift which I have already put my new analog stick in and feeling great again, normal default controllers end up getting stick drift within 3-5 months so im very pleased to write this review! I suggest every playstation player and or pc player that loves using controller to buy this Dual Sense Edge

Sony, you nailed it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the BEST DualSense controller of all time, it beats out the regular DualSense, Elite Series II, Wolverine V2, and more! I mean, if you are looking for a PlayStation Pro Controller, this is DEFINITELY the one you are looking for!! The ease of use is just so terrific! You can easily switch to different controller paddle/button profiles, just by the click of two buttons! (FN+Circle/Square/Triangle/X) if you have controller drift, instead of buying a whole new controller, you can just buy a new stick module!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can just slide the release button in between the paddles, then the top part covering the joysticks just comes right off, then you can just lift the lever, (Left/Right Lever) lift the module gently, pull it out and slide in the new one, (or two) put the lever(s) back down, put the top part back on, which is a little tricky, but it’ll be fine, then enjoy a drift-free controller! Now, granted, these great features will cost you $199. But, (at least in my opinion) it is well worth it if you are into shooter games, racing games, or you are just a competitive gamer like me, if you want precise aiming, like if you are playing Call Of Duty, Fortnite, Apex, you can just set a profile to that, and maybe you can just call it “shooting”, or any of the mentioned games names. So overall, a terrific controller!

Great controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Strengths & Highlights 1. Immersive Haptics & Adaptive Triggers The DualSense delivers advanced haptic feedback that simulates textures, resistance, and in-game motion with more nuance than classic vibration. The adaptive triggers add variable resistance, giving sensations like drawing a bow or pulling a brake. 2. Comfort & Ergonomics The design is more rounded and tailored than previous PlayStation controllers, and its grips are comfortable even during long sessions. The Edge version includes slip-resistant inner grips for better control. 3. Customization & Pro-Level Features (Edge only) The DualSense Edge stands out with replaceable stick modules, interchangeable caps, rear buttons/paddles, adjustable trigger lengths, and multiple user profiles. It integrates well with PS5’s software, making profile switching and button remapping smoother. 4. Built-In Mic, Speaker & More Features Sony added a microphone array so you can chat without a headset, and the controller includes its own speaker. The touchpad and motion sensors (accelerometer/gyroscope) remain useful extras.

Pricey, but built well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Likes: Feels solid, slightly heavier than the standard controller. The replaceable thumb sticks are nice should analog drift become an issue. COD and D2 FPS wore out my original controllers. The assignable option for each button is definitely a plus. Dislikes: Overpriced in comparison to the regular controller. These should be the standard issued controllers. Battery life seems low. I have no use for the case.

Finally a 1st party pro controller!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the premium feel of the controller. The grip feels better than the original. The software tied with the controller is great with changing the back button combinations. Swaping the dome buttons to paddles is so easy. The biggest selling point for me is that you can replace the stick modules. If your controller has stick drift, for 20 or 25 dollars, you can replace the entire stick instead of buying an entirely new controller. If you have the official charging station from Playstation, you can charge this controller instead of plugging it into the console. The downsides are: The battery doesn't last as long as a regular controller. The charging cable is really long so that is not an issue for me. There are only two back buttons instead of 4. For this price point, there should be 4 back buttons. For me I only need two. If you can get over the downsides and don't care about the color of your controller, this is the last controller you'll have to buy.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new PlayStation DualSense Edge controller is a premium upgrade designed for serious gamers, particularly those into competitive play. It builds upon the standard DualSense controller with added features like customizable button mapping, adjustable trigger lengths, and replaceable stick modules. Users can also save multiple profiles for different games, switching seamlessly between them with a button press. The back paddles, a standout feature, make gameplay smoother and more comfortable for intense sessions. The controller delivers excellent performance in FPS and racing games thanks to its high level of customization. However, it comes with notable drawbacks: a hefty price tag of around $200 and a shorter battery life (roughly 8 hours compared to the standard DualSense’s 10-15 hours). Despite this, for players seeking a competitive edge, the DualSense Edge offers unmatched control and adaptability【8】【9】. If you’re a casual gamer, the improvements might not justify the cost, but for those who prioritize high-end performance and customization, it’s a strong choice.

Great controller, Battery life not so great.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller. Battery life leaves something to be desired. If you want it for pro gaming I highly recommend it. Feels even better than the DualSense which I didn't think was possible. Little heftier but nothing major. Can finally update wirelessly without having to plug in but that's with every controller now. Cord included is long enough I could actually leave it plugged in if needed to play with the shorter battery life. It is considerably shorter. Most gaming sessions for me are 3 hours or so. With the regular DualSense it would be about 1 battery gone. With this one it's 2 every time. Not a major issue for some if you don't have long gaming sessions. If you're going over 5 hours though you're gonna need to plug in or switch controllers. $150 would probably be the sweet spot of cost vs worth in my opinion but still overall a great controller.

High Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the DualSense Edge controller for my 13-year-old son for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it. Right out of the box, it felt super high-quality, and he noticed the difference right away with the customizable controls and improved grip. He’s big into gaming, and this has become his go-to controller it’s held up great and really enhanced his experience. Definitely worth it if you’ve got a gamer at home who wants something a little more premium.

Best controller for the long run.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was hesitant at getting this controller because of the price. However, after finally deciding and “pulling the trigger” and I purchased it. This controller feels better in someway. It feels more heavy, but not too heavy to make it obnoxious. The joysticks all feel nice and premium, especially the ps3 ones, and apart from all of the, the main reason on why I bought it, the fact that you can swap out the the main component of the joystick in case you ever get stuck drift. The controller’s battery isn’t the best, clocking in at 5ish hours of gameplay, give or take, but the cable makes up for it.

Quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller feels and works great. Customizability is awesome. Only downside is how small the battery is but assuming you're buying this for a comp game chances are you want a cable to minimize any potential lag this thing comes with a little lock to prevent the cable from being disconnected on the controller end.

No more stick drift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The regular controllers keep having that dreaded stick drift problem. I’ve gone through 5. At $80 a pop I was really not happy. Got this and now I can swap out the modules if/when they misbehave. Worth it if you are having the same experience as me. Also they have customization options (trigger feel, shortcut buttons, profiles)

Great Built Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a bit more hefty than your regular dualsense controller. The quality of it feels great. I love that it comes with options for the thumbsticks and for the back buttons. Unfortunately, the only downside to it is the battery, does not hold a charge as long as the normal dualsense. Also I am glad that I can change out the sticks if I get stick drift, so it’s worth the investment instead of buying a whole new controller. Overall, it is awesome.
