Best pro controller you can buy!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that i’ve used many, and i mean many 3rd party pro controllers over the years, scuf, battlebeavers, cinch gaming, aim controllers, you name it. Out of all of the pro controllers i used, this Dualsense Edge is by far the best one yet. I’m glad Sony has finally made a 1st Party OEM pro controller, it’s been a minute but im glad they’re stepping up. The paddles are actually fantastic, i kinda wish Sony would’ve made 4 paddles, but two isn’t bad. The fact you can swap out your sticks in case you get stick drift is amazing, best part about it you can order new parts for the Edge on the Sony website. The grip on this controller feels amazing, the trigger stops, all feel amazing. I can never go back to 3rd party controllers again, the fact you can buy the Dualsense Edge with all these amazing add-ons and it’s only $200? Vs a 3rd party controller where you’ll end up paying double? This is the best bang for your buck. I strongly recommend anyone to buy this you won’t regret it.

Controller
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony PS5 DualSense Edge controller feels premium, with great customization and responsive triggers that elevate gameplay. However, the grip tends to peel after long-term use, which is disappointing given the high price.

Worth the price tag
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this controller! Everything about it is great! Battery life is on the low side but that’s to be expected from Sony. I highly recommend it and have even gifted it to friends.

Great Pro controller option
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is great, I love it, I’ve used Scuff in the past but not for this current generation so I can’t compare it to that but I’d love that you still Get all the dual sense features and still get the short hair triggers for FPS and paddles in the back as wall as all customization options on the software all from your PS5, the only downside is the battery life.

Game Changer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than the battery life, the additional buttons on the back make this the ultimate PlayStation controller. However, Sony counters this with an included 10 ft USB cord. The profiles are simple to edit as well to allow you to create any button configuration that you like.

Best PS controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In comparison to the standard controller, the pro controller offers a superior aesthetic and tactile experience. Notably, it eliminates the squeaking noise that can occur when the controller is squeezed excessively. Additionally, the pro controller allows for the customization of joysticks, mitigating concerns related to stick drift.

Best Playstation 5 controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the controller is on the pricey side, i highly recommend it. Everything feels great and the back buttons are a perfect addition. Seems like a small detail but makes games more enjoyable. Battery life is the only complaint but thats a problem since the ps4

Game changer (literally)
||Posted . It’s quite literally changed how I play games thanks to the back button and adjustable triggers. It’s my daily driver for both my PS5 Pro and my PC. Easy recommend.

A solid Elite type controler
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had some extra BB rewards to break the cost, however after having it for a while, it is worth the full price. It feels solid, not like some of the off-brand PS5 controllers. Nothing inside will snap if you breathe at it funny. One of my favorite features are the programmable paddles and how they are implemented. At any time you can have 3 button preset profiles (+default) at a click of two buttons. In your back pocket you can save more profiles and swap them to the ease of access with few extra clicks within the PS5 interface. The extra button tabs under the sticks will take you where you need to be without having to navigate the PS5 menus. Some of the coolest features are the headphone controls on this controller where you can adjust the volume and Game/Party Chat volume mixer. This was a good buy

Great Controller But Falls Behind the Competition
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Dualsense Edge controller is better than the regular dualsense controller, the main benefit being the back paddles. Out of a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this a 7.8. The controller and paddles seem very sturdy, but the biggest disadvantage is that there's only a maximum of 2 paddles for the back which is definitely insufficient. 4 paddle options for the rear would have made this worth the $216.00 price tag! I hope Sony didn't short us now only to release a "Pro Edge Elite" version down the line with 4 paddles! I play with my controllers plugged in so battery life is not an issue for me. The FN keys are a nice feature to quickly access the Edge settings and i would like to see other implementations to use these function buttons, perhaps adding them to the mapping board would be nice. The feature to adjust the Stick Sensitivity and Deadzones is the next best feature. This is a great advancement for shooter games like Apex and COD. Settings like the Quick, Dynamic, and Digital Curve Adjustments really make a difference for how your player movement and aim take effect in game. If you tweak these with the right in game settings as well, you can set up some godlike aim and movement (after getting use to it ofcourse)! I wish the controller was lighter, perhaps offering an option to sell some without the rumble would be nice. I also bought a Hypr Controller at the same time so while reviewing the Edge, i'm also comparing it to the Hypr one. I would have to give the upper hand to Hypr with a score of 8.3 and not without good reason. First off, the Hypr Controller cost me $250, has 4 remappable back buttons (not paddles, which makes it easier and more comfortable to hold). I had an option to customize my own colors and it's just like a stock dualsense except better because i had the option to remove the "rumble pack" which makes that controller light as a feather and the best thing to hold. The Quick mechanical triggers are far better than the Edge and, even the interchangeable toggles have a way better texture design and grip to them as opposed to the standard Sony toggle designs. The Hypr anti sweat grip option on the rear is also much better than the Edge's rear. The Edge in my opinion still feels a little slippery compared to Hypr's. So for me, there were more and also better options that Hypr offered only for $35 more which is not bad. The biggest concern ofcourse, is that there's no option to change the Joystick Module like the Edge has, so eventually, months down the line, this Hypr controller will become useless and need repair or replacement. If i'm not mistaken, there was a class action lawsuit against Sony for their stick drift issues on their controllers and it's nice to see Sony make them replaceable on the Dualsense Edge. I wasn't happy that my 2 regular Dualsense controllers suffered severe stick issues making them useless which prompted me to spend more money on newer controllers now. Also, the replaceable Toggles should cost more like $12 each and not $20. Thats almost a brand new regular dualsense for the price of 2 stick modules! Come on Sony! We already paid a premium price for a less advanced dualnsense edge compared to the competition out there, don't nickel and dime us for every bit of the pie! Needless to say the Hypr controller doesn't feel as sturdy as the Edge controller, the mute button and option buttons are difficult to press in which make the craftmanship a little questionable. Hypr is located out of the US so it takes a while for build and delivery. More importantly, i have switched between both controllers during games and for some reason, my aim is more accurate and laser like with the Hypr one. I've tested this out A Lot and i still don't get why because there is no option to make extra Curve Adjustments for the Hypr controller, its just like a stock dualsense. But, for whatever reason, Aiming and shooting my targets especially on Apex is always more accurate with the Hypr controller. I expect this to get worse as the controller gets the inevitable stick drift though. So for this reason, and because it has more options to customize for performance (removable rumble, 4 remappable buttons, quick triggers, rear grip, grippy toggles), and comfortableness, Hypr gets a higher score but it's not too far from the Dualsense edge in utility. Sony has the upper hand with the replaceable stick modules, but, will the rest of the controller hold up over time? I guess only time will tell. So in summary, the Dualsense Edge is a great controller but when it's put against the other competitors for Performance Controllers, it's still lacking in some features and design. There are some great steps foward but also a couple backwards steps as well. If Sony plays things correctly, things can only get better going foward for future iterations!

Dualsene Edge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dualsene Edge is an awesome device from Sony PlayStation. To this day I'm debating myself on getting the black version. Love the mapping of buttons, back triggers. I don't even use the regular controllers.

Solid Controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is amazing, Haven’t ran into any stick drift issues and I love the customization. Battery life could be better but the charging cable is long enough and locks so it doesn’t damage the cord or the controller port.

So Close to Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK - first off, this is a well made controller. Unfortunately it suffers from a bunch of design flaws. #1 which is a highly preferential issue is the motion control or "gyro" mechanics. For some reason (my assumption is space) Sony decided to use different gyro parts than the standard Dual Sense (which I also own). Unlike the standard Dual Sense, the Edge gyro has way too much drift. In fact it has more than the Dual Shock. The Dual Sense is pretty much perfect so I don't know why they decided to change this element. #2 is the analog sticks. The ability to change sticks, when damaged, is great. i actually owned the Astro C40 which had this functionality...but that was before hall effect sticks. This seems like a stop gap measure for this product based on where the technology currently stands. I still think the ability to swap stick makes sense - but they probably could have reduced cost if they simply went with a more durable joystick. Although it would be ideal to have two more back buttons, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me in the future. So based on the total cost and the two main issues, I gave it the three stars.

Worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a big gamer with multiple dualsense controllers, I was on the fence about getting this as the price is high and I did not need it by any means. It turned out to be an amazing purchase. The extra sticks are nice and i like the feel of the classic PS3 sticks and different height levels, makes the controller feel unique. The actual feel of the controller is different its more rounded and has padding, my hand doesnt hurt as much when compared to a normal dualsense. Back paddles are awesome of course, but the most surprising feature was the tuning of the sticks and setting custom profiles. Turned out I use that way more than i would have ever thought. Quickly switching profiles between games has become natural for me and allows my fingers to not move off the face buttons. Battery life has not been a problem as the cord is really long and i keep it charged. If you game a ton on the PS5, i highly recommend this.

Better then expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS5 DualSense Edge completely surprised me with how premium it feels, from the sturdy build to the super comfortable grip. The customization options- like adjustable triggers, back buttons, and swappable stick modules-make it feel perfectly tailored to how I play. And although it took me a bit to figure out the settings it’s still the best controller I ever bought…
