These are really great controllers. Only problem I have is that a few years after purchase, the stick drift on the left side is bad enough that it messes with my ability to play some precision games. I have never had an issue with older consoles having this issue, as it seems to be the way modern controllers are made. Other than that, these are good, and it's great to have a backup for the console so you can charge if it dies mid-playthrough. The color is the best part!

This controller was a surprise when opening the box. The beautiful color changing feature is lots of fun in the day. The controller works great for being an open box. Would buy at full price if offered, but open box works just as great!

The build quality on this thing is top-tier. It feels premium and the grips are perfect for long sessions. If you’re playing on PS5 or even PC, it’s a massive upgrade. Just keep a long charging cable nearby because you'll be playing a lot.

Great color and it works way better than the one I had before

Color is nice. Playstation controllers are the most comfortable for gaming in my opinion. I use it for my pc though does require 3rd party software to work along side pc gaming. Do not buy for pc if you have trouble configuring such. Or just want a plug and play option for pc.

Sony has revised their controller design over years, and the current DualSense, for the PS5, inherits the best of the previous DualShock controllers. I think that we are generally well past the point of Xbox-vs-PlayStation controllers; If you prefer one, then that’s nice. Most modern PC gaming can work well with either by now, so you only get locked into one style if you’re using that specific console. And honestly, both are great controllers. It’s just preference. Where the Sony DualSense differentiates itself is with the unique touchpad (like the DS4 before it), and the adaptive haptics and trigger feedback. These are potentially really cool to use, when games take advantage of the features… But most don’t use more than a portion of that functionality. Team Asobi’s Astro Bot titles are almost the only ones to go “all in” on those features. And some other games do try to use the trigger feedback to provide more player info regarding things like bow/arrow, recoil, tension, etc. And many more use a bit of the rumble and haptics. It is capable of a very “HD” level of feedback, which can convey the surface on which a characters walks or drives, down to the tiniest details. Still comes down to how well a game implements it. This color variant is nice, although it doesn’t quite have the same textured feel in hand as the more matte versions. But it looks stellar, if this is your style. I like this one about as much as the Chroma Pearl. Otherwise, it’s the same controller - Pretty durable, decent battery life, all the audio features (mic, speaker, audio jack), and the nice USB-C rechargeable battery. I do recommend the Sony charging dock, which uses contacts below the analog sticks, rather than having to plug/unplug all the time. There are a few third party versions which are okay too, like one by Razer, but it’s only for single controllers. The only “con” worth mentioning is that the price just hasn’t ever gone down on these, and like most video game consoles, accessories, or software, prices only seem to go up. I only purchase extra controllers while there is a sale, so it was very exciting to see these special edition ones drop enough for me to rationalize getting one. Overall, still a great controller. It’s the only real controller for PS5, and works pretty nicely for PC gaming too. The color is up to your taste. Many of the features are just not utilized by all of the games, but it’s cool what they’ve packed into this thing. Value is the only point where I get hesitant, just because of the price.

What can I say? It’s the PS5 DualSense controller—we all know the quality, comfort, and amazing haptic feedback this thing delivers. I picked up the black version from Best Buy, and as always, the service, reliability, and peace of mind with their warranty are top-notch. Now… real talk. I was playing, things got heated, I lost, and let’s just say my old controller took flight. Unfortunately, it didn’t survive the landing. So yeah—I had to get a replacement. If you’re in need of a second controller (or, like me, destroyed yours in a fit of gamer rage), this is the one to get. It feels great in your hands, the triggers are super responsive, the battery lasts a good amount of time, and it just looks sleek in black. Just remember—while it’s built tough, it’s not “rage-proof.” 10/10 would buy again (and probably will… if I lose again).

I wanted to get a second controller mainly so I can just keep playing if the first controller dies. I picked this one specifically because I just liked the color scheme and the Chroma effect. It has a nice sheen that changes with lighting and makes the controller look metallic!

I bought this controller as soon as I saw them on sale at Best Buy. There wasn’t anything wrong with my original DualSense controller but I wanted to do the hair trigger and rear paddle mods to my original and I wanted an unmodded controller for racing games or other games that needed normal L2 R2 triggers. I never had any trouble with stick drift or other issues some have reported, I do keep my controllers clean though. I like the gray camo pattern, hopefully Sony releases matching covers for the PS5 Pro. Battery life is great, everything works like you’d expect. Leaving this one stock for now.

Just a fantastic feeling controller with responsive button presses that you can feel with every action. Sony did a remarkable job with this PS5 system and wireless controller. And the color of this is gorgeous. It is a great size for adult as well as child hands and has a premium feel and button layout without paying for one of those $200+ competition controllers or joysticks. LED light feedback that changes colors based off of the game you are playing, what player you are, and other fascinating factors. if you are a RGB person this is a nice nice touch. The haptic feedback combined with adaptive triggers that based off of the game you are playing will give you varying tension to really help you feel those bow and arrow shots! And if you have Bluetooth 5 or better on your phone or tablet, feel free to use this while traveling to use remote play for your favorite PS5 games. No need to go out and purchase other accessories. Speaking of which, the built in microphone and speakers gives even more reason to purchase these. You will get to hear special sounds from your game as well as talk to friend all via the controller. Even has built in headphone jack for convenient use of your favorite headphone you already own. Also a little hidden jewel is that you can listen to your movies and play your games in private while sitting right next to someone on the couch or in bed without disturbing them using this capability. Brilliant.
