A good controler, even if it is pricey

The new reactive shoulder triggers are nice and add a touch of feedback in certain games. Something like Ratchet and Clank will give you a good feel for it. Otherwise, again, standard controller, nothing special.

Doesn't last a year

For $80, a controller should last more than a year. It's a great controller ... just make sure you buy the insurance because you're gonna be replacing these once a year.
