The PS5 DualSense controller is hands down the most impressive controller I’ve ever used. Sony truly raised the bar with this one. The standout features are the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. They make every game feel more immersive than ever. When driving in Gran Turismo 7, I can feel the resistance of the brake pedal, and in Astro’s Playroom, the subtle vibrations perfectly mimic different surfaces underfoot. It’s not just a gimmick—it genuinely changes how you experience games. Comfort is another huge plus. The controller has a solid yet lightweight feel, with a design that fits naturally in the hands. The textured grips add to the comfort, even during long sessions. The built-in speaker and microphone also come in handy for quick chats, and the improved touchpad is more responsive and easier to use. Battery life is solid, and charging with USB-C is fast and convenient. It’s also great that you can use the controller on PC, expanding its versatility beyond just the PS5. Great controller as usual . Feels a bit larger than the ps4 controller and the color is cute. Bought on black friday so it was $50 rather than $75.

They worked great for a couple of months and then they quit charging

Great price for a oem Sony camo controller. Tried to get my dad a ps4 and none around (59.99+) Bought for my wife to give me for Christmas.

This remote worked fine for about 3 months and that was it. I used it a decent amount no crazy accidents or anything and the left analog stick started acting very weird. It made me stop playing my PS5 for awhile solely because of how unreliable it was. When i asked if i should pay to get it fixed, they recommended buying an entire new one. A year later im dusting off the PS5 and bought a new controller that is supposed to be updated and with a warranty just to be safe. The white controller that came with my PS5 did the same thing as well in the same amount of time. So annoying

Bought this for my son for Christmas. It's April 1st and the stick drift is so bad it's unusable.

Sony has revised their controller design over years, and the current DualSense, for the PS5, inherits the best of the previous DualShock controllers. I think that we are generally well past the point of Xbox-vs-PlayStation controllers; If you prefer one, then that’s nice. Most modern PC gaming can work well with either by now, so you only get locked into one style if you’re using that specific console. And honestly, both are great controllers. It’s just preference. Where the Sony DualSense differentiates itself is with the unique touchpad (like the DS4 before it), and the adaptive haptics and trigger feedback. These are potentially really cool to use, when games take advantage of the features… But most don’t use more than a portion of that functionality. Team Asobi’s Astro Bot titles are almost the only ones to go “all in” on those features. And some other games do try to use the trigger feedback to provide more player info regarding things like bow/arrow, recoil, tension, etc. And many more use a bit of the rumble and haptics. It is capable of a very “HD” level of feedback, which can convey the surface on which a characters walks or drives, down to the tiniest details. Still comes down to how well a game implements it. This color variant is nice, although it doesn’t quite have the same textured feel in hand as the more matte versions. But it looks stellar, if this is your style. I like this one about as much as the Chroma Pearl. Otherwise, it’s the same controller - Pretty durable, decent battery life, all the audio features (mic, speaker, audio jack), and the nice USB-C rechargeable battery. I do recommend the Sony charging dock, which uses contacts below the analog sticks, rather than having to plug/unplug all the time. There are a few third party versions which are okay too, like one by Razer, but it’s only for single controllers. The only “con” worth mentioning is that the price just hasn’t ever gone down on these, and like most video game consoles, accessories, or software, prices only seem to go up. I only purchase extra controllers while there is a sale, so it was very exciting to see these special edition ones drop enough for me to rationalize getting one. Overall, still a great controller. It’s the only real controller for PS5, and works pretty nicely for PC gaming too. The color is up to your taste. Many of the features are just not utilized by all of the games, but it’s cool what they’ve packed into this thing. Value is the only point where I get hesitant, just because of the price.

Built-In Mic and Speaker for Quick Access Need to jump into a party chat or send a voice message without grabbing a headset? The DualSense has you covered with a built-in microphone and speaker. It’s a small touch that adds a lot of convenience, especially in quick, casual sessions. Comfort and Design: A Big Step Up The DualSense feels amazing in your hands—slightly larger than the DualShock 4, with a more ergonomic grip and better button feedback. The textured back adds grip without feeling rough, and the layout is familiar yet refined. It’s solid, responsive, and built for long gaming sessions. Battery Life: Decent, But Not Perfect The one area that could use improvement is battery life. With all the haptics, adaptive triggers, and built-in tech, the battery can drain faster than expected, especially during intense play sessions. But it’s a fair trade-off for all the immersive features—and it charges fairly quickly via USB-C.

All in all, the DualSense isn’t just a controller, it’s part of the experience. Once you get used to the haptics and triggers, it’s hard to go back to anything else. If you’re picking up a PS5 or even looking for a second controller, this is absolutely worth it.

I think the controller has a glitch in it, so when I use it it takes a minute for me to press the buttons so that they can work again and my joy sticks work but when I use them in a driving game the car doesn’t turn at all.

Undurable product, stick drift usually occurs within one year of day to day use. Recommend forking the extra 130 for the better controller.

Incorrect item condition status. Controller was a different finish suggesting it was pulled from a system combo and returned to Best Buy, rather than a returned loose sold controller. Also the headset connection port was cracked, which I would consider fair used condition, not excellent.

Instead of focusing only on competitive shooters, I've been enjoying completely different experiences, especially Forza Horizon 6 on PC. The comfort of the DualSense during long sessions is incredible, and the feedback makes every race more immersive. Whether I'm pushing for maximum speed, taking corners aggressively, or drifting through beautiful roads. the controller feels precise and connected to every movement. Even on PC, the experience feels fantastic. Some of my favorite moments aren't even about competition. They're the simple moments of playing FIFA with my brothers, laughing together, celebrating goals, and creating memories that will last much longer than any victory screen. That's what makes this controller special to me. The DualSense isn't just my favorite controller because of its technology or design. It's because every time I pick it up and turn on my PS5-or connect it to my PC-I can forget about daily stress for a while and enjoy the games love. It has been part of years of memories, competition, fun, and family time. For me, that's what makes the DualSense more than a controller. This is a backup controller so I haven't used it after purchasing. I finally decided to use and noticed that the dark plastic corner of the left side of the controller was loose. It seems that there are two tabs that need to lock into notches in the connecting plastic housing, but there is only one notch. The corner sticks out and can easily be pulled off from the controller. What's worse is that it digs into your hand when you are using it. Not happy at all about this, especially after paying extra for this camo skin. I wish I noticed it sooner or I would have returned it immediately.
