As for this controller, it’s an excellent stock design, and superior to Xbox default controllers in a lot of ways. However, this is my 4th PS5 controller in 3 years, which is to state that the reliability and longevity on these Sony controllers leaves much to be desired. 5 stars for Best Buy, 3 stars for the Sony controllers due to reliability/longevity issues.

The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make gaming so immersive. It's comfortable to hold for long sessions, and the built-in microphone is super handy. Highly recommend for any PS5 owner. It's not a striking color difference from the galactic purple, though, so if you want distinct blue and purple options I might opt for the starlight blue instead.

The design feels more substantial in the hands in a good way, and the haptic triggers are very cool. My only complaint is that after a short time I can already feel the joysticks and buttons loosening up in a way that makes me concerned about the longevity of the device. We shall see…
