A little heavier and a little different feel then a DualShock 4 but it feels so much better in my opinion the black is sleek and looks good. My only complaint is that as someone with super sweaty hands I can’t help but feel that the ps5 controller makes my hands sweat a lot more then a ps4 one.

Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller

The Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller is a remarkable evolution in gaming technology, offering an impressive blend of tactile feedback, ergonomic design, and advanced features that make it a standout in the world of game controllers. Here's a detailed breakdown of what makes the DualSense a must-have for PlayStation 5 users: Design and Build Quality: The DualSense features a sleek, modern design with a comfortable, slightly larger form factor compared to its predecessor, the DualShock 4. The grip is textured, which enhances comfort during long gaming sessions, and the controller's weight feels balanced in hand. The glossy, futuristic black-and-white color scheme is visually appealing, and the design is both sophisticated and functional. The build quality is top-notch, with durable materials that feel premium and robust. Adaptive Triggers: One of the most innovative features of the DualSense controller is its adaptive triggers. These triggers provide varying levels of resistance depending on in-game actions. For instance, when pulling a bowstring or accelerating a vehicle, you can feel the trigger resistance dynamically adjust, creating a deeper level of immersion. The added tactile feedback offers a more nuanced, realistic experience that you can’t find in other controllers. It’s an exciting step forward in gaming interactivity and a game-changer for action and adventure games. Haptic Feedback: The haptic feedback on the DualSense is another game-changing feature that distinguishes it from previous controllers. Unlike traditional rumble features, the haptic motors in the DualSense allow for a wide range of nuanced sensations. From the feeling of footsteps on different surfaces to the sensation of rain falling, the haptics provide a deeper sense of immersion. This technology does a great job of heightening the emotional intensity of the game, making it feel more tactile and alive. Built-in Microphone and Enhanced Audio: Sony has integrated a built-in microphone into the DualSense controller, which makes chatting with friends or engaging in game dialogue much easier. You no longer need a headset to talk, although a dedicated headset still offers better sound quality. Additionally, the controller supports 3D audio, which, when paired with compatible games and a 3D audio system, delivers a rich auditory experience directly through the controller's speaker. Battery Life: The DualSense controller boasts an impressive battery life, especially given the enhanced features it offers. While battery life may vary depending on usage and the intensity of the game, it typically lasts for several hours, and its USB-C charging port ensures faster charging times. Charging through the USB-C connection is seamless and efficient, adding to the controller's overall convenience. Buttons and Controls: The buttons on the DualSense controller are well-placed and responsive, with the L1, R1, L2, and R2 buttons being smooth and satisfying to press. The D-pad has been subtly upgraded and offers better precision, while the thumbsticks provide a comfortable grip with responsive movement. The inclusion of the new “Create” button (which replaces the “Share” button) is a great addition, allowing players to capture and share gameplay effortlessly. Compatibility: The DualSense is designed primarily for the PlayStation 5, but it is also compatible with PCs and smartphones, albeit with limited features. On these platforms, you can enjoy the controller's basic functions like button mapping and motion controls, but the adaptive triggers and advanced haptics are mostly reserved for PS5 games. Verdict: The Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller is an extraordinary piece of technology that takes the gaming experience to a whole new level. With its cutting-edge adaptive triggers, immersive haptic feedback, and superior ergonomics, it enhances the sense of immersion in ways that were previously impossible. It's a perfect companion to the PlayStation 5, allowing gamers to feel more connected to their games. Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore enthusiast, the DualSense is an essential tool to fully experience the next-generation gaming revolution.

I absolutely love this controller! The color is vibrant and the feel in your hands is premium. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback make such a difference — especially when playing games like Spider-Man or Call of Duty. The battery life is decent, and it charges quickly with a USB-C cable. Definitely a must-have if you own a PS5, or even as a backup controller for multiplayer nights.

The color in person is iridescent and has a slight hue of pink. Personally, I love it. And as far as function - works as it should! Could not be happier. Only thing is, don't let it fall on something hard, otherwise the color will chip off easily. Ask me how I know xD

[Employee of bestbuy] This Chroma Teal DualSense is easily my favorite PS5 controller, and it’s the one I always get compliments on. The finish has this glossy, almost pearlescent shine that looks even better in person than in photos. It catches the light just enough to stand out without looking overly flashy, and the color sits right in that perfect sweet spot—bold, vibrant, and unique, but still clean and classy. In the hand, it feels every bit as good as it looks. The DualSense ergonomics are already excellent, but this version somehow feels a little more premium, like the coating gives it a smoother, more refined touch. The buttons have that satisfying Sony firmness, the triggers feel responsive, and the whole thing just has a nice balance—light enough for long sessions but solid enough to feel high-quality. What I love most is how fun it is to use across everything—PS5, PC, even mobile. It pairs quickly, works flawlessly, and looks fantastic sitting on a desk. If you like controllers that stand out without being loud, and you want something that feels as good as it looks, this one delivers.

Did Sony actually fix the DS's biggest issue?

After numerous DualSense purchases over the last 4 years because of the ever consistent and inevitable stick drift, I bought this one. Why not, right? (Eye-Roll) Decent colorway to be fair, however the smooth gloss finish of the green portion is a stark texture change from any of the other standard DualSense controller designs. I wasn't the biggest fan at the start, but it's genuinely starting to grow on me. Weirdly enough, after several weeks of use, no stick drift.... yet. Fingers crossed this one will last longer than others. Would be 5 stars if I hadn't been burned by Sony at least 4 other times. 4 times bitten, staying shy. All in all not a terrible version, just know it'll feel different in your hands at 1st if you're familiar with the DS.

I’ve been using the Midnight Black DualSense controller for a while now, and overall I’m really impressed with it. First off, the design looks amazing. The all-black finish gives it a much cleaner and more premium feel compared to the standard white controller. It also hides dirt and wear better, which is a nice bonus if you play a lot. Performance-wise, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a DualSense. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are still the standout features—they make games feel more immersive, especially in titles that really take advantage of them. The controller feels comfortable in hand even during long gaming sessions, and the build quality feels solid. Battery life is decent, though not perfect. I usually get several hours of playtime before needing to recharge, which is fine but could definitely be better. My only real downside is that, like other DualSense controllers, it can be a bit pricey, and long-term durability (like stick drift) is something to keep an eye on. Overall, if you’re looking for a sleek-looking controller with great features and solid performance, the Midnight Black DualSense is a great choice.
