I love it because I can have two controllers if one dies

I had to get this one for my mom because she is my co op partner and it’s similar to her ps4 controller

The controller as a stand-alone is amazing. Only giving it 3 stars because of the applicability and usability of using a second controller. For any sort of use you will need a second PlayStation account(or use as a guest each time). For some games you will need an additional account for their respective servers as well. I wanted a second controller to play with friends when they visit, and technically it gets the job done. However, it was a bit complicated for me to figure out how to use individual games with multiple controllers. For example, for COD Cold War, you need a second PlayStation account (guest option won’t work), and a second Activision account. The worst part is that the new account will be on a low level, so unless you manually up the level, your friends will have a poor load out. Overall I think a second controller is nicer in theory than in actual application.

It has a lot of features which make gaming more enjoyable. My only concerns are that I feel it is making ganing too expensive and there is no improvement in the battery. It is annoying that you have to charge it after only a few hours of gaming..

Bought this as a gift for my brother, but I also bought one previously for myself. It's a great controller and slightly more comfortable than the PS4 controller. The triggers took a little to get used to when I first played MWII with it. The buttons for share and options are easier to press as they have more of a raised surface than the PS4 controllers, they feel lighter and now include USB C for charging or connection to the console. Now for the downside. The battery life on these controllers is horrible, they don't last near as long as the PS4 controllers, There is no option to turn the lighting completely off on these controllers, you can dim it but you can't turn it off. Disable the mic and you get a glowing orange light on the controller which drains the battery even faster, the flat part on the controllers hand grips can dig in if you grip it too tightly. Other than that these are good controllers from Sony with improvements over the Dualshock 4 controllers. They could be even better if they could improve the battery life.

i use it everyday so i go by controllers every 6 months cant wait to get a new one! Haha
