These new colors, or more the point, have new a new sku. The newer controllers are basically a new updated version of the PS5 controllers that were originally released. The new sku controllers have better tech, generally speaking, and better materials. It’s still the same controller, as in it does all the same stuff…nothing new and nothing taken away, it’s just that it’s a better version of the controller. So when you’re buying one…either get one of the new colored controller or if you’re buying a white one (and black maybe?) or buying used, google this and find where it says the sku that’s the new version and make sure it’s one of them. They started making the white and the older colors the same as the new ones but there are still older skus out there.

What is there to say that hasn’t been said already? Solid controller, sturdy, and as long as you take good care of it it’ll last you a long time

I bought the red one first because it was more unique. And i own every PlayStation since 1 so the number of black PS controllers i own is infinite. But i caved and got this one too but do not regret it at all. definitely the best looking stock color of the 3 so far.

If you have any doubts about the shade of red, don’t worry, it looks absolutely phenomenal in person. The build itself feels a lot more sturdy than my launch controller.
