Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have two controllers…the original that came with the PS5(still works great, though I replaced the battery), and another that was purchased two years ago(left stick drift/occasionally requires cleaning). I purchased this one on a cyber Monday deal to add to the collection. Pickup and ordering through our local Best Buy was without issue and prompt, so hats off to them. However, sadly Sony continues to manufacture inferior controllers for the best console on the market. Having dealt with previous stick drift issues in the past, this controller is put away in the cabinet after every use and dedicated as “dad’s” remote. Even with care, I’ve noticed in the past few days odd behavior which I’ve narrowed down to the D pad, which includes drifting and ghost inputs. Ironically, I’ve found a simple “wack” to the left side of the controller resets it. Hopefully I’m able to make an exchange or at least have it fixed for little cost.

Honestly to me this one feels a little better quality from the ones that are not shiny, so that’s an added plus for me! Also a great sale, really the only reason I decided to get it.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll just state what really sets this controller apart from the original Dualsense other than the obvious color difference (although the color looks fantastic) Anyhow, Sony redesigned the Dualsense to mitigate trigger failure and stick drift. The new colored controllers are currently the only way to ensure you’re getting the updated design while it’s still in the box. The only other way to know if the original white, black, or red controllers are sporting the updated hardware is via the FCC ID on the underside of the controller, as the old design ends with the number 1, the updated version ends with the latter A.

It works like the original, and is super pretty! I'm a classic PS5 aesthetic gal, and I like that this is close to the original while being a little more interesting.
