Best standard controller on the market.

The buttons & stick layout work perfectly, and the controller itself has a nice weight and balance. Adaptive triggers are an amazing feature, unmatched by their competitors. When supported by a game, it's one of the coolest new features of the current gen of consoles. That said, battery life is an issue with these devices. It's a known issue and yet even new Sony DualSense controllers have the same battery as when the PS5 launched. Expect 6 to 10 hours of gameplay on a full charge. But that number will greatly diminish over time, to the point where my launch controller couldn't last a single hour. Of course, you can still play while charging, but they really ought to swap in a beefier battery. If there's any other knock against the controller, it would be the price ($75 minimum), but that's not just a Sony problem - controllers across all gaming platforms spiked in price in this console generation. If you can hold out until Black Friday or Sony Days of Play sales, like I did, the reduced price makes it worthwhile to upgrade, replace, or add to your collection. This review is for the "Chroma Teal" version, and it is gorgeous.
