The lifespan will depend on what games you play for example if I used this controller mostly for overwatch they will usually last about 8-9 months before I get some type of drift. But if I use it to casually play rpgs it will last longer than a year.

Ps5 controller pc

Since there is no official sony driver for this controller we have to use generic windows game controller driver/steam in order for it function in most games. Since a lot of their games are going to be coming to pc they need to start supporting the hardware with official drivers. Other than that it is a good controller.
