This review follows from my original DualSense controller (that came with the PS5 on launch day) all of a sudden losing input on the down d-pad button, essentially forcing me to buy a new DualSense, since no one seems to want to fix it (and that includes Best Buy/Geek Squad). However, coming from the original launch day white model, I feel like this Midnight Black DualSense is a much better product. I believe there may be subtle tweaks that have been made in the newer color models (i.e., better trigger haptics, buttons being a bit clickier, etc.) that make it superior to the original, but I will also say that the color is great, and I prefer it to the white. While the black might not match how the original console looks (without black faceplates), it is a better color because it does not collect dirt/sweat/random hand secretions in the back textured crevices (at least that is visible). My big complaint with the original white was that no matter how clean your hands were, the back of the controller eventually got dirty. The black color seems to avoid this issue for the most part, and that alone makes it worth getting over the standard white. All in all, it's not a PlayStation without a nice black controller, and this one does the job very well. Hopefully the buttons will last on this one for longer than a year and a half.

It’s a PS5 controller in a really nice shade of green. Works as expected. The color on this thing is amazing, a deep green with a metallic shimmer. Definitely one of my favorite colors they have released.

Great color! It’s nice to have something other than white, cause if you partake in too much video games (which is never the case ;D) you get the Cheeto dust and dirty hand marks all over. This beautiful majestic unicorn color hides all of those marks..

The DualSense may be one of the wildest controllers I've ever used, and I love it, but I wasn't a fan of the default white and black one you get with the system. The Midnight Black colorway looks great and the controller feels excellent in my large hands, an issue I had with most of ths previous PlayStation controllers which all felt a bit too small and dinky.

The controller works very well. The buttons are responsive and the ergonomic design fits my hand well. The price is a bit on the steep side but the quality is solid.

[Employee of bestbuy] I consider the xbox controller to be the definitive controller, but the PS5 Dualsense controller has so many great features - like haptic feedback - that makes it great for PS5 and PC. Warning though, not all PC games support this controller, but the game store Steam has great compatibility software built in. Also get a warranty from Best Buy, it allows for in store replacement which is incredibly helpful.

My son loves red. He has redone his room in black, white, and red and it’s a great shade of red to complement his decor as well as being a functional item.

A soft light blue color. Fits great in your hands. If you play for maybe an hour or three every day the controller lasts for over a week without a recharge.
