He uses it as his primary controller now because he likes the color. I had purchased the new Sony wireless 3D headset for him to communicate with his friends while online gaming together. He prefers to communicate using the built-in mic and speaker with this controller. He enjoys the features of this controller more than those for his PS4 or Nintendo Switch. I thought it a bit pricey till seeing and hearing him having such fun playing with his friends online. I have played a couple of two player co-op games with him and find the improvements over the dualshock controllers worth the cost. I highly recommend.

it's purple

This one is purple, which appeals to me. The actual color does look darker than the pictures make out, but that could just be my display distorting colors. It looks good, it works well. Xbox controllers fit in my hand better and are more comfortable, but i dont' have an xbox.

I got it on sale and I bought the Geek Squad Protection plan because it's always a must with gaming controllers. Haven't had to use it yet but it's there.
