The first time makes an auto update to install the controller, but once that is done it is just great. The button quality is good and no complaints

I will take it when he returns to wanting a red one. ;) The controllers for PS 4 had shift issues of course after the warranty expired. Hopefully this one does not.

Only wish the matching plate were available but that neither here or there. The controller is same controller as any other color but look amazing if have on a display.
