I recently purchased a PS5 controller from Best Buy, and I am very impressed with it. The controller is a significant improvement over the DualShock 4, with a more comfortable design, improved haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers. The controller is slightly larger than the DualShock 4, which makes it more comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The grips are textured, which helps to prevent the controller from slipping out of your hands. The buttons are also more responsive, and the D-pad is much improved. For example, in Astro's Playroom, you can feel the different textures of the surfaces you're walking on, and you can even feel the raindrops hitting your controller. I previously lost my PS5 controllers. And I assume that this one right here was an out of the box PS five controller that was exactly like the ones that came with it. I’m not sure that it is. And there are much better controllers out there, but at a much higher price too. As this is the cheapest PS5 controller out there. I would still rated a five out of five it gets a job done it works great. It’s rechargeable. Can’t go wrong with it.

Really good controller, no drift or anything which is generally expected the only thing is the finish is quite slippery out of the box

Love the the black color of this controller. Looks awesome and performs as it should. Picked it up at a nice price. Replaced a couple controllers that started having button issues, so hopefully this holds up for the long haul.

Work perfectly, definitely will be back to get different colors I never knew that ps5 made so many different colors. Side note* The manger needs to relax let me shop and think not crowd me I get that you guys have a best buy card we can apply for but pressuring me to buy and save is not the way to go! You bring those promotions up at check out not on the sales floor. Rookie move, I expect a sales person to make this mistake not a Manager.

Bought this not for a PS5, but to replace a broken Dualshock 4 I had for my PC (didn't want to move my other DS from my PS4). So far it's integrated well with Steam and the only problems I've had are just games that haven't integrated it well with their PC version (Destiny 2 thinks it's an XBox controller, while No Man's Sky picks it up as a Dualsense with no issue). Heavier feel, more durable and feels better in the hand than the DS4 does - now the latter feels lighter and more fragile as a result. All Sony needs to do is to get that haptic feedback for the triggers to PC APIs and it will be perfect

Unlike other reviews on this platform, I figured I’d do a two years later review on this controller. It has was the test of time, with no major issues. The only real issue I’ve ran into is the Thumb stick caps, wearing down a bit, and some of the rubberized coating wearing down slightly on the back. I’ve used it with a PS five, steam deck, Lenovo Legion, and Now a ROG Ally X. I used to use an Xbox 360 controller back in the day for everything, but Sony’s new controller has definitely taken the cake for my go to gamepad. The Xbox controller that needed new batteries, this one still holds a very respectable charge, granted after two years of hard use I’m debating throwing a new battery in. But for the equivalent of $35 a year and having basically zero issues, it’s a very cost-effective solution for a gamer.
