To be honest, this is one of the biggest improvements in the PS5. DualShock 4 was great, but this is totally different. The trigger feedback is amazing, and the haptics are much more refined and just.. totally different than the "stereo rumble" of the DS4. This is an entirely different level of controller than what you'd get even with the Series X. And they're not that expensive to have a couple in rotation. I would recommend picking up an extra at the same time as the PS5, though, as I will say the battery life is noticeably shorter than the DualShock 4. There are some rumors of the triggers going off-track if someone is too rough on them. That doesn't mean you have to baby this thing, but some people are absolutely brutal on controllers, and Sony should have considered that. If you're normal and not hamfisted about it you'll be fine, but if you're the type of person who throws controllers in frustration (cmon, don't do that.) then you may notice this is a little more fragile than its predecessor.

The updates to the dual shock is on point. I didn't expect as much of a difference as they actually have but they really do make games feel more immersive. Also, not sure if the PS$ controllers did this, but I found that muting my tv forced the controller to play all sound through it. That's a nice feature for late night sessions.

This PS5 controller was very easy to pair, and it works excellently. I like the unique color. The Dual Sense feature gives me exceptional control of games like Madden.

More ease and movement capability, big upgrade from previous controllers.

First, this color is sick. The purple/blueish blend just works. Second, the controller works very well. Its responsive and feels nice in your hands. Excellent option to the standard white controller

This Dual Sense controller is awesome that cobalt blue really stands out it looks way better in person hands down my favorite color variation so far beside the black one!

I love how beefy this controller is compared to the PS4 controller. It really made the PS4 controller feel cheap. This controller has got some heft to it and it feels premium. I love the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers. Too bad, not many games outside Astro's Playroom took advantage of the adaptive triggers. But it's too early to say. Hopefully in the next games.

My kids love there Xbox , but the PS5 is definaitly a step up in the controller arena.
