Smooth finish. Feels a little heavier and bulkier than the PS4 controller. I don't like the grip feeling. It has a thick girth feeling whereas the PS4 is slim & feels like it has indentations for your hands with the purpose to grip.

I bought this for my new PS5 console, i absolutely rock this controller when I play. The color acheme is excellent and is no wonder why it is sold out. If you can get this particulr color I encourage you to get your hands on one.

I got this for use as a PC controller and have no plans to get a PS5, so I can't comment on things like the resistive triggers and haptics. It's a nice controller overall and feels very premium. I connect it wirelessly to my PC and it works great with Steam. No issues there. My main complaint is that it feels nowhere near as good to hold as the DualShock 4. The grips feel too short, like the ends were chopped off rather than being rounded, and leaves it feeling awkward to hold. The curves on the underside near the triggers are also far more shallow, probably due to the new trigger mechanisms. Additionally, I'm not a fan of the texture; it feels almost too soft and not "grippy" enough. I'm going to keep using it and hope I just get used to it, because it's otherwise a great controller.

I like the color and it feels comfy. I think they still need to fix the d-pad though make it more Sega Saturn like.

This controller is super sick looking and feels very good to play with and has a great feel to it.

It's a great control pad for gaming. It's better than the previous generation, the DS4, in that it fits the palm of your hands better. This purchase in particular featured the Midnight Black controller and it looks really good. It's color scheme and overall design is probably Sony's finest when it comes to their entire history of controller accessories. However, as per the name of this 2 star rating, it really needs a longer battery life. A full, 100% charge on standard vibration settings only gives you about 3 or less hours of game time. It is reasonable to claim that 3 hours of gaming is more than enough for a dedicated playthrough but this is not including the fact that battery life will be shortened given enough time. This is not acceptable. IMO, the battery should have been at 70%-100% more of its given capacity. This is to ensure a fully uninterrupted gameplay session without the need to recharge the controller once per day or more.

I'm not even sure how I could give this a review without telling that person to have this in your hands themselves it truly is one of the best controllers I've ever had it's well in my hand and the adaptive triggers are quite the assist. After the patch they release for the controllers to boost the charging rate it's crazy sometimes I don't even realize my battery is getting low because it takes so long to reach that level.

Such an amazing controller. What PlayStation is done with the haptics is incredible It handles like a cross breed of Xbox and Sony. Everything in the box came as it should, and was in good condition. The only complaint I have is that it did not come with a charging cord, so I still have to use the one cord between the two controllers. As It’s an official Sony controller, that fault lies with them and not Best Buy.
