These are awesome controllers when they work like they are supposed to. Unfortunately this one also developed stick drift like my first one had. Purchased this one after sending My original in for Sony warranty repair, they send back as “fixed” yet the stick drift issue remained & wouldn’t be surprised if the same happens with this when I send it in.

This PS5 controller is absolutely fantastic. Right out of the box, it feels premium and well-built, with a comfortable grip that makes long gaming sessions easy and enjoyable. The buttons are super responsive, the analog sticks are smooth and precise, and the triggers feel amazing—especially with adaptive trigger support in PS5 games. The haptic feedback really takes gameplay to the next level and makes everything feel more immersive, whether you’re racing, shooting, or exploring. Battery life has also been solid, lasting through multiple sessions without constantly needing to recharge. Overall, this controller performs exactly as expected (and more) and is a perfect replacement or extra controller for any PS5 owner. I’ve been using my PS5 DualSense controller since launch (with a few colorful variants thrown in for fun), and honestly, it’s still one of the best pieces of gaming hardware I’ve ever owned. Here’s my full breakdown after years of heavy use in Waco heat, late-night sessions, and everything from single-player epics to competitive shooters. The Good Stuff (Pros): • Haptic feedback & adaptive triggers – This is the killer feature. Feeling raindrops, weapon recoil, or the tension of drawing a bow in games like Astro Bot, Returnal, or Horizon feels next-level immersive. No other controller matches this level of “you are there” sensation. Even in 2026, new titles still make great use of it. • Ergonomics & comfort – The shape fits my hands perfectly for long sessions (4+ hours no problem). The textured grips keep it from slipping even when my hands get sweaty during intense matches. Way better than the old DualShock 4 in every way. • Build quality & feel – It feels premium – sturdy buttons, responsive sticks (so far no major drift on mine, fingers crossed), and that satisfying click on the face buttons and D-pad. The built-in mic is surprisingly clear for quick party chat, and the Create button is handy for clips. • Versatility – Works great on PS5 obviously, but I’ve also used it wired/wireless on PC for games that support the haptics – it’s a solid all-rounder. The Not-So-Good Stuff (Cons): • Battery life – 6–10 hours depending on how much you crank the haptics/triggers. It’s not terrible, but I usually need to charge midway through a long weekend session. Not as bad as some early complaints, but still shorter than I’d like. • Stick drift potential – Mine’s been fine, but I’ve seen plenty of friends deal with it after 2–3 years. Not as bad as some Switch Joy-Cons, but it’s a known weak point over time. • No back paddles or pro features – If you’re into competitive FPS or fighting games, you might want something like the DualSense Edge or a third-party pro controller for extra buttons and customization. The standard one keeps it simple. Overall Rating: 9/10 The DualSense is still the king of standard controllers in 2026. It’s not perfect (battery and drift are real concerns long-term), but the immersion from haptics and triggers makes almost every supported game feel special. For the price (especially if you got it bundled), it’s an absolute win. If you’re debating a second one or a fancy colored version – go for it. Still my daily driver. Would I buy it again? 100%.

I always prefer to get a sale price. I picked this up for $50. Its definitely a good idea to have extra controllers, since the joysticks eventually start to drift.

This Sony PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller in Gray Camouflage works as designed and described. Plus, the Gray Camouflage color makes it look pretty fantastic.

Controller is great, have had it for a year and just started giving me some minor wear issues.

Bought it open box but it was brand new. No damage at all.
