Very bad stick drift

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After less than a year of using my PS5 controller I started experiencing one of the worst controller drifts. It got so bad that I cannot even use the controller. I have had pretty bad drift with one of my joy-cons on my switch, but it was nowhere close to how bad my PS5 controller got. It is now literally just a paper weight. I know that engineering modern day controllers can be difficult and nuanced with new technologies implemented in modern controllers, but I can't help but think that my PS2 controller has never had any signs of wear or drift and I have had it for 18 or so years. Same goes for my original PS3 controller.
