Controller was purchased for my wife. She took up the PlayStation as an added source of entertainment. Once I took recognition of her love for the console I completed her dedication by purchasing her a Pink controller with the best grip in the world.

Beautifully steadied thumb sticks. Pretty durable in terms of stick drift. If you need a ps5 controller that isn’t expensive or fancy, choose this model at the least! Third party controllers will often come initially having drifting stick issues or paddle malfunctions if applied so I tend to stick with ol’ reliable here. Not only that, but the black makes it stay looking sleek even if dirtied while also having a matte black feeling that creates a better experience in regards to grip. Small enough to hold but big enough to fill your hands for fine tune shooting in FPS games. This controller is simply an immense upgrade from the last and stands as a mark of what next generation can truly feel like!

I like the color and the adaptive triggers. The ergonomics are insane. The only drawback would be the stick drift that will come after 6 months of light use (for me). It sucks since the price of controllers keep on going up and seems like soon they will be priced the same as the pro controllers lol

Excellent controller with amazing features. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are next level and really add to the gameplay experience. The design is sleek and comfortable, and the buttons feel very precise. The only minor downside is the battery life — it could last a bit longer — but everything else more than makes up for it. Still totally worth buying!

Stick Drift need to be addressed

The DualSense Wireless Controller in Midnight Black is fantastic in terms of comfort, haptics, and overall design. It feels premium, works seamlessly across PS5, PC, Mac, and mobile, and the adaptive triggers are great. However, the big downside is stick drift. It’s a recurring issue, and in my experience the average time before drift starts is around 8 months (based on 2 other identical controllers), which is unacceptable for a controller that costs $60–$70. For this price point, Sony really needs to address the durability of the analog sticks instead of treating drift like an inevitable problem. Battery life could also be better. The controller drains faster than expected, especially with haptics and adaptive triggers enabled, and it feels like it hasn’t improved much since launch. Overall, it’s a great controller held back by long‑term reliability. We deserve better build quality for the price.

    A Gamer's Delight: A Technical User Review

Introduction: As a dedicated gamer, I recently had the opportunity to put the Sony PlayStation 5 controller through its paces, and I must say that it has exceeded my expectations. With its advanced features and ergonomic design, the PS5 controller delivers an immersive gaming experience that sets a new standard for console gaming peripherals. In this technical user review, I'll delve into the key aspects of the controller, highlighting its strengths and potential areas for improvement. Design and Ergonomics: The first thing that struck me about the PS5 controller was its sleek and futuristic design. Sony has taken a bold step by deviating from the classic DualShock design, and it pays off. The controller feels robust in hand, with an intuitive layout that allows for easy access to all buttons and triggers. The matte finish provides a comfortable grip, reducing the likelihood of slippage during intense gaming sessions. Additionally, the contours of the controller fit naturally in my hands, ensuring extended play without discomfort. Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback: The standout feature of the PS5 controller is undoubtedly the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback system. These innovative technologies take immersion to the next level. The adaptive triggers offer resistance and tension that vary depending on the in-game context, such as drawing a bowstring or accelerating a vehicle. This enhanced feedback allows for a more realistic and engaging gameplay experience, making every action feel distinct and impactful. The haptic feedback system, combined with the adaptive triggers, further amplifies immersion by providing nuanced vibrations tailored to in-game events. Whether it's walking on different terrains, weather effects, or weapon impacts, the controller delivers precise and responsive haptic feedback, heightening the sense of being part of the virtual world. Built-in Microphone and Speaker: The PS5 controller comes equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing for seamless voice chat without the need for additional peripherals. The audio quality of the microphone is surprisingly clear, though not as robust as dedicated gaming headsets. The speaker also adds an extra dimension to gameplay by emitting in-game sounds, enhancing the overall experience. However, some users may prefer to use a headset for a more immersive and private audio experience. Battery Life: One area that may be considered a drawback is the battery life of the PS5 controller. While it is on par with its predecessors, the DualShock controllers, the implementation of advanced features like haptic feedback can be power-intensive. As a result, the controller's battery life may require more frequent charging, especially during extended gaming sessions. It would be beneficial for Sony to explore energy-efficient technologies to extend the battery life in future iterations. Compatibility and Connectivity: The PS5 controller is designed to work seamlessly with the PlayStation 5 console, but it also offers compatibility with the PlayStation 4, making it a versatile gaming peripheral. Connecting the controller to the console is effortless, whether via Bluetooth or USB-C cable. Additionally, the controller's low-latency wireless connection ensures a responsive gaming experience, crucial for competitive gaming. Conclusion: The Sony PlayStation 5 controller is a remarkable gaming peripheral that raises the bar for console gaming. Its cutting-edge features, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, deliver unparalleled immersion, making it an essential component of the PS5 gaming experience. The controller's ergonomic design and innovative technologies make it a joy to use, enhancing gameplay in ways that were previously unimaginable. While improvements could be made in battery life, the overall experience offered by the PS5 controller sets a new standard for the future of console gaming.

Revolutionary upgrade to a good controller

This is a pretty good controller. A huge step up from the dualshock 4 controller for the ps4. The haptic feedback fells awesome in games that utilize it to its potential. The drawbacks of that is that it drains the battery a ridiculous amount. The biggest complaint is the same as with the last iteration of the controller; the stick drift. It baffles me why these companies have not solved this yet.

The PlayStation 5 (PS5) is a groundbreaking console that truly delivers a next-generation gaming experience. From its sleek, futuristic design to its powerful hardware, Sony has outdone itself with this system. The performance is phenomenal, thanks to the ultra-fast SSD that virtually eliminates loading times. Games look stunning, with ray tracing, 4K resolution, and smooth frame rates making for immersive visuals. Titles like Demon’s Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and God of War: Ragnarök showcase the PS5’s capabilities beautifully. The DualSense controller is a game-changer, offering haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that make gameplay more tactile and engaging. Whether you're drawing a bow or feeling the tension of a car on rough terrain, the controller adds a whole new layer of realism. Backwards compatibility is another plus, allowing players to enjoy a vast library of PS4 games. Add to that the PlayStation Plus Collection, which provides access to some of the greatest hits from the previous generation, and it’s clear that value is a priority. The PS5 also excels as a media hub, with apps like Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify running seamlessly. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to switch between games, apps, and settings. Overall, the PS5 is an impressive leap forward in gaming technology. Whether you're a casual player or a hardcore gamer, it offers something for everyone. If you're looking for a console that delivers top-tier performance, a growing library of exclusive games, and innovative features, the PS5 is absolutely worth the investment.

Sony knows how to make a perfect overall controller. I am using this for casual gaming on my PS3, PC, iOS, and occasionally Switch (via adapter). This controller feels great to hold and works perfectly across all the platforms. The battery lasts quite a long time too. No complaints after 4 months.

Great new design the haptic feedback is really nice. It's comfortable in the hand and easy to use. Playstation hasn't made a bad controller it seems to they get better every generation with this one surpassing last ten due to the new haptic, better battery life, and giving it just a bit more bulk.

The Dualsense is a very nice controller, the ergonomics and overall feel of the controller is overall nicer than the Dualshock 4. The buttons, sticks, size, and everything feels great and the battery life is a bit longer than the DS4 despite the haptics. The haptics also feel great and can add a lot of immersion depending on how the game uses it. When it's used well it's really cool, when it's not it dosen't really add much and can just make your fingers tired. Though the intensity of the haptics can be toned up or down, which is really nice. Ive been using the controller from this purchase for about 3 months. Overall, it's great but the jury's still out for me on the overall quality of the make. I had to get this controller as a replacement for the controller that came with my PS5 which only lasted 9 months before unplayable stick drift hit the right stick, this did happen during a storm that fried the charging cord (despite surge protection) so I think it's something that was caused by a power surge but there's still a chance this was a coincidence and stick drift may be an issue for this new controller. Hopefully not. I'm pretty caring of my controllers, In my 23 years of gaming, I've only had stick drift in 3 controllers. One of these three being the previously mentioned dualsense. So hopefully this dualsense lasts, but it remains to be seen if this is built better than the dualshock 4 in terms of longevity. That uncertainty is the only thing keeping it from 5 stars, as well as, the price. While it is a good controller, it is a bit expensive. Especially if the anolog stick drift wasnt caused by the storm and this controller ends up having stick drift. If the latter is the case than it is certainly not worth the price.

Just got my hands on the Cosmic Red DualSense controller, and man, it's a beauty! Look and Feel: First off, the color is sick - it's this vibrant red that just pops. Pictures don't do it justice. It's got a slightly different texture than the standard white one, feels a bit more grippy which I dig. Performance: In terms of performance, it's classic DualSense - immersive haptic feedback, adaptive triggers that give you that real feel in games like Call of Duty and Spider-Man. The weight is just right, and the battery life seems on par with the original.
