The DualSense Wireless Controller in Midnight Black is fantastic in terms of comfort, haptics, and overall design. It feels premium, works seamlessly across PS5, PC, Mac, and mobile, and the adaptive triggers are great. However, the big downside is stick drift. It’s a recurring issue, and in my experience the average time before drift starts is around 8 months (based on 2 other identical controllers), which is unacceptable for a controller that costs $60–$70. For this price point, Sony really needs to address the durability of the analog sticks instead of treating drift like an inevitable problem. Battery life could also be better. The controller drains faster than expected, especially with haptics and adaptive triggers enabled, and it feels like it hasn’t improved much since launch. Overall, it’s a great controller held back by long‑term reliability. We deserve better build quality for the price.

Sony did something amazing here. They really went above and beyond with the design and functionality of this controller. Well worth the extra money to buy an extra. I’m in love with the L and R 2 buttons and I can’t wait to see how developers use this tech in the coming future of this console generation. Already with astros playroom, call of duty, and Spider-Man this controller offers such a unique and fun gaming experience that I just cannot describe here. You really must try this for yourself. The battery life is amazing even with the new haptic feedback and the pressure sensitive buttons. It feels great in the hands and is absolutely the best controller you will ever use.

From the color to the performance everything about this controller is great. The color is what caught my eye first but I’m so glad that I made this purchase. Battery life, performance, and the color makes it A-1.

Its standout feature is the adaptive triggers — the resistance changes based on in-game actions, making things like drawing a bow or pulling a trigger feel much more realistic. As someone who plays daily - this has been a good controller so far. The previous two Dualsenses I've owned developed issued with the headphone port and reduced battery life. This newer version has had none of those issues, and no stick drift, or any other issues. Feels just as good to play as the day I took it our of the packaging.

My husband absolutely loved this as a gift. The color is beautiful and works like a charm. It keeps its charge for a good amount of time and very comfy if you are playing games for an extended amount of time.

Purchased this last year as a Christmas gift for my son who also loves Fortnite. This controller has endure endless all nighters and works quite well. Had to send it in to Sony for a repair due to stick drift and its holding up during its second round of endless gaming all over again. Since buying this remote it ergonomically feels like a blessing in disguise. You can feel the power and difference from other remotes. The latency that doesn’t exist like most, you can definitely feel the haptic vibrations when using both triggers, the grip you get when using this remote as well. No sliding off your hands the feeling is very smooth whether your on console or PC I definitely recommend this remote.
