This review follows from my original DualSense controller (that came with the PS5 on launch day) all of a sudden losing input on the down d-pad button, essentially forcing me to buy a new DualSense, since no one seems to want to fix it (and that includes Best Buy/Geek Squad). However, coming from the original launch day white model, I feel like this Midnight Black DualSense is a much better product. I believe there may be subtle tweaks that have been made in the newer color models (i.e., better trigger haptics, buttons being a bit clickier, etc.) that make it superior to the original, but I will also say that the color is great, and I prefer it to the white. While the black might not match how the original console looks (without black faceplates), it is a better color because it does not collect dirt/sweat/random hand secretions in the back textured crevices (at least that is visible). My big complaint with the original white was that no matter how clean your hands were, the back of the controller eventually got dirty. The black color seems to avoid this issue for the most part, and that alone makes it worth getting over the standard white. All in all, it's not a PlayStation without a nice black controller, and this one does the job very well. Hopefully the buttons will last on this one for longer than a year and a half.

The DualSense may be one of the wildest controllers I've ever used, and I love it, but I wasn't a fan of the default white and black one you get with the system. The Midnight Black colorway looks great and the controller feels excellent in my large hands, an issue I had with most of ths previous PlayStation controllers which all felt a bit too small and dinky.

This PS5 controller is simply fantastic, it looks awesome & feels just the same when using it. I highly recommend it.

I definitely recommend everybody to get a PS5 controller.You will not regret it.

Love the feeling of new controls. The color is just beautiful

Much better than the Xbox counterpart. I have dozens of hours so far on both and can tell you the ps5 controller definitely is the winner. The PS5 controller has a better fit and finish and a more expensive feel. The controller feels great in your hands and the feed back triggers are a neat addition to gameplay. The only drawback is battery life suffers a bit from all the controllers features but it has no problem playing a long session, just keep it charged after your done.

I got this for my son and he loves it! It feels good and it looks great.

This is one of my favorite controllers, out of all the ones I have. I love the haptic feedback, the motion controls it has even if it’s not as much as the Nintendo switch controllers, and the touchpad. These all make gameplay on the ps5 way more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend these to people.

The Sony play station 5 remote has worked splendidly for months now. The purple color is a beautiful touch too!

Durable Controller. The new grip is holding up well

Only complaint is the battery life. Other than that this is one of Sony‘s best controllers yet. Honestly, it fits in my hand perfectly even though I still have bigger hands but it’s more comfortable than a dual shock four controller. High five to Sony for an awesome controller.

Great controller it lasted me very long time but the color tends to fade quick but other than that it does what it’s suppose to. No complaints here.

Bought these at the height of the PS-5 craze... lucky we even found them in stock! These are sturdy, durable, and they perform well-- as evidenced by our kid using them for HOURSSSS on end! Upside is no more eating through packages of AA batteries like candy, whew. The recharging station is super convenient (purchased elsewhere due to stock limitations), and a huge upside is no more eating through packages of AA batteries like candy, whew.
