This color though will have foxing around the edges or discoloring after some use (5-6 months of heavy use). You can cover those with a grip or skin. Other than that it's your "vanilla" controller just a different colorway than the one you got with your console. Worth it.

Sony needs a more reliable controller

I don't ride them too hard but more than a casual gamer would. My first controller, the right stick stopped turning right. My 2nd one the left stick doesn't make a good connection when pressed down and is a major bother for games where pressing left stick activates run or other important functions. So far my third controller is holding up well but I haven't made it to the 2-3 month mark yet, which is about the time my other controllers failed me. Other than its durability it is a good controller.
