I purchased two PlayStation 4 controllers at the very end of May as a gift for my son’s 31st birthday. Now, here we are at the end of June—barely a month later—and both controllers are already having issues. One has a faulty trigger, and the other has problems with the analog stick (the little swirly knob thing), which just broke off. These are basic functions that should last longer than a few weeks with normal use. Honestly, they just don’t feel as durable as the PS4 controllers I remember from years ago. What’s frustrating is that the price of these controllers hasn’t gone down, even though PS4s aren’t being actively supported like before. And no, I didn’t buy the insurance or extra warranty—because I trusted the quality based on past experience. My original controller from years ago is still functioning, so I expected the same from these new ones. Would I buy them again? Unfortunately, I might have to, just so my kids can play their games—but I wouldn’t want to. I definitely think Sony or the retailers should offer a better warranty than just 15 days. Once that window closes, you’re pretty much stuck if something goes wrong. Bottom line: the quality just isn’t what it used to be, and at this price, it should be.

I bought this as a second controller for the ps4 pro and to use on the pc. Works great on both. Also love the midnight blue color!

Dualshock 4 is an excellent controller. I use it on PS4 and also on PC with a bluetooth adapter and InputMapper. Huge huge improvement on DS3.

Although it sort of looks the same as the original, this is the newer version of the Dual Shock 4 controller (it has the lightbar on the touchpad). I played with the PS4 original controller for over 2000 hours of Destiny so the right trigger is a bit lose and the left thumb stick is wearing off. It still works, but Destiny 2 is around the corner and I've been wanting to buy a second controller for a long time (so my son could play other games with me and I can have a backup controller when defeating Ghaul). I love the red color.

Had Xbox for years and thought I would have a hard time getting used to the PlayStation controller. Fit get in the hand and works perfect.

great controller, the color looks great, easy to set up, the only thing is you have to get your own cable for charging. it does NOT include one.

Needed to replace controller and charging cable for PS4 slim. I went with OEM controller modle, The only down sides are they don't come with charging cable and the price, Luck be it I have multiple cable types from various PC accessories.

Got it for my son now he has 2 wireless controllers to use, works good, battery lasts longer than the other one.

Great controller like usual. If you play a lot and tend to get stick drift this controller may not be right. After a few months I got stuck drift in the right analog. Not really the drillers fault but always sad when it happens

SO yeah, I love the new play station 4 controllers, they just seem to fit in your hand perfectly and they have a super durable feel to them. 10 outta 10.

No stick drift, good grip, fast in game reaction speed and no stickyness.
