With it on I noticed the system would sometimes turn the fan on to cool it down, and without it, the fan rarely kicks on high if ever at all. To me that suggests the little bit of ventilation it blocks on the bottom when standing vertically has a big impact on how well it runs.

I recommend the product but just not buying from "Best" Buy. No longer do you get BB points for purchasing items. You have to use BB credit card now. for points. Oh, and member status? You have to PAY to be a member with real benefits. It used to be based on how much you spent at BB. There IS NO incentive now to buy only from BB. I will only buy online from them if the price is significantly lower (doubtful that will be the case) than Amazon, etc. BB lost a 30+ year customer.
